The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vieira shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Moogle as he avoids it easily. Moogle lands a glancing blow to the side of Vieira's head.
It looks like Paulo Vieira has been cut. Moogle takes the fight into the clinch. Moogle lands with a short head shot on the inside. Vieira working hard to break the clinch. Moogle lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Vieira backwards. Moogle scores with an uppercut up the middle. Vieira tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Moogle avoids it. Moogle cracks Vieira with a nice body shot. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Moogle creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A quick uppercut on the inside from Moogle. Moogle throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Vieira is breathing heavily. A right hook to the body lands for Moogle.
Moogle lands a hook that snaps the head of Vieira backwards. Moogle lands a left hand that snaps the head of Vieira backwards. Moogle lands a left hand that snaps the head of Vieira backwards. Moogle lands a body punch. Nice body punch from Moogle. Still in the clinch, Moogle scores with a nice short uppercut. Moogle lands with a light punch inside. A nice left hand lands by Moogle.

A very excited looking Rude Moogle made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nego Dobom! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Steven Perkins! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Thiago Cunha and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Perkins connects with a single shot there. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Perkins is defended easily by Dobom. Perkins shoots and misses and Dobom counters by moving into the clinch. Perkins tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Dobom's elbow. Dobom has Perkins pressed against the cage, preventing Perkins from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Dobom breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Perkins will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dobom takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Dobom lands with a thumping leg kick.
Dobom takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Perkins is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Perkins throws a low kick, looking for Dobom's leg but Dobom calmly moves out of range. Dobom clinches with his opponent.
Perkins takes an elbow to the forehead. Dobom's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Dobom scores with a shot to the side of Perkins's head. Dobom landing some nice looking knees to the body.
I was talking to Dobom's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dobom blocks an uppercut.
Perkins looking for a takedown. Nego Dobom has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steven Perkins. A head punch blocked on the inside by Dobom. Dobom lands a nice elbow. Dobom prevents Perkins from breaking the clinch. Dobom gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Dobom landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Dobom lands a hook to the side of the head. Dobom putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Perkins in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Dobom tries to score a body lock takedown but Perkins shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Dobom lands with a short head shot on the inside. Perkins gets through Dobom's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Dobom lands an elbow inside that Perkins shrugs off.
Perkins is rocked! Perkins takes an elbow to the forehead. Perkins is still on wobbly legs! Can Dobom finish him? Dobom has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Perkins clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dobom trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Perkins doesn't escape. Perkins told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dobom throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. Dobom controls the position. Dobom patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Perkins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dobom. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Perkins holding both Dobom 's hands and preventing any damage. Perkins seems to have recovered his senses. Dobom is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Perkins has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Perkins rolls, trying to escape but Dobom keeps control of the position.
Dobom has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Dobom looking for the choke but no joy. Dobom is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Perkins defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dobom is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Perkins knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Perkins for a finish. Dobom controlling from the back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dobom seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Perkins for as long as he can get away with. Dobom somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Dobom controlling well, preventing Perkins from escaping the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Even with his hooks in, Dobom manages to miss with strikes from the back. Perkins rolls, trying to escape but Dobom keeps control of the position.
Dobom tries to get the hooks in deep but Perkins pushed the leg off. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dobom keeps control of the position as Perkins tries to break free.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Dobom punishes Perkins with strikes from the back mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nego Dobom dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Perkins closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Perkins slows the pace down in half guard. Dobom looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Perkins throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Dobom trying to control but Perkins postures up.
Perkins is controlling the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Perkins working over Dobom with some ground and pound. Dobom looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Perkins throwing shots but Dobom is blocking nicely. Perkins wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dobom keeps working. Dobom wants to improve his position but Perkins is controlling well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dobom tries to roll over but Perkins keeps him under control.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Dobom slips under a jab. Dobom misses with a head kick.
Perkins misses with a wild body shot. Dobom scores with a spinning back kick! Perkins misses with a wild combination.
Perkins drives through with a takedown into guard. Perkins trying to control but Dobom is working from the bottom. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Dobom holds on and takes a little breather.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Nego Dobom just wasn't active enough. Dobom bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Perkins tries to bench press Dobom off him but Dobom keeps the position. Dobom decides to stand back up. Dobom steps back and let's Perkins get back to his feet. Perkins is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Dobom tries to clinch but Perkins moves out of range. Perkins connects with the punch. Dobom closes the distance and pushes Perkins back into the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Perkins takes an elbow to the temple. Perkins is pressed up against the cage. Dobom has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Perkins down to the mat. Perkins avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Perkins lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dobom tries to keep at a distance but Perkins has taken the fight into the clinch. A battle for position here, against the cage. Dobom keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Perkins's efforts to push away. Perkins misses with a short punch on the inside. Perkins tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Perkins working hard to break the clinch. Dobom unloads a knee to the mid-section. Perkins lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Perkins tries a body shot but Dobom blocks it.
Dobom's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steven Perkins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Perkins lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dobom circles away quickly and effectively. Perkins looks to land a combination. Dobom sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Steven Perkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Perkins will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Perkins fails with the takedown. Perkins dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Perkins throws a leg kick but Dobom sees it coming and moves out of range. Dobom takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Perkins misses with a hook
and Dobom counters with a head kick that drops Perkins to the mat! Perkins scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly! This has been an exciting period of action! Dobom looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Dobom backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Perkins's temple! It sends Perkins violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Dobom celebrates and the doctors try to help Perkins!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Nego Dobom! Nego Dobom decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well. Steven Perkins spoke after the fight, saying 'I'll beat you next time'.

He's bucked Holowitz off and has taken his back! Peixoto is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Holowitz won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Peixoto off his unconscious opponent!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mayer jabs Moura right on the nose. Moura blinks but takes it well.
It looks like Mauricio Moura has been cut. Moura fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Moura throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mayer 's waist but Mayer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Moura off to one side. Moura dives in for a single leg takedown but Mayer sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Bastian Mayer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mauricio Moura. Mayer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mayer swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Moura. This has been an exciting period of action! Mayer defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Moura. Mayer connects with a body shot. Mauricio Moura seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mayer is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Moura is rocked! Moura shoots in looking for a takedown. Mayer tries to sprawl out of it but Moura keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mayer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Moura shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mayer but Mayer pushes him off and we're back to square one. Mayer drops Moura with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Moura looks back up at him and smiles so Mayer waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Moura is still on wobbly legs! Can Mayer finish him? Moura switches off momentarily and Mayer cracks him with a monster right hand! Moura topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Mayer dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Mayer !

Dimont bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bones's guard. Dimont throws a big elbow that misses.

Dimont cracks Bones with an elbow. That is naaassty. Dimont looking to control but instead Bones has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Bones is refusing to be controlled, as Dimont sits in half guard.

Bate Bate complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
