Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Willem MacCailin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jonny Sommer!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sommer is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by MacCailin.
Sommer looks to land a combination but MacCailin avoids it well.

Sommer tries to sprawl but MacCailin drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Sommer is trying to control but can't.

Sommer is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but MacCailin pulls his head out easily.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sommer can do anything to dispel that myth.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jonny Sommer hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
MacCailin has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Sommer finds it's way round the side to connect with MacCailin's head.

Sommer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. MacCailin tries to avoid it but Sommer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag MacCailin to the ground. MacCailin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
MacCailin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sommer sprawls well. Sommer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. MacCailin gets slowly back to his feet.

Aleshire is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Aleshire takes advantage of some sloppy striking from Alferink to pass into mount.
BOOM! Aleshire connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Alferink is looking to improve his position but Aleshire isn't that keen on the idea.
Aleshire postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Alferink looks a forlorn figure.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Aleshire is working for a rear naked choke. Alferink is not defending it well and Aleshire has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Alferink refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Alferink's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
