Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pete Williams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shin Jie! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams avoids a kick to the body.
Williams shoots in but Jie avoids the takedown attempt easily. Jie tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Williams paws at him with a jab and circles away. Jie shoots in but Williams avoids the takedown attempt easily. Williams throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jie misses with a double jab.
Jie swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Williams could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Jie has closed the distance and engaged Williams in a clinch.
Williams has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Jie is trying to drag Williams to the mat but Williams just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Williams is trying to pull guard but Jie has him pressed against the cage. Jie breaks the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice takedown defense from Jie. No joy for Williams on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pete Williams. That's going to take a lot out of him. Williams fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jie avoids it really well and circles away. Jie looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Williams is fending him off so far but Jie persists. Nope, Williams circles away and we're back to standing. Williams slaps away a takedown attempt from Jie, before circling back to the center of the mat. Jie swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Williams counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Jie thinking. Williams avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Jie tries to clinch up. Jie throws a body punch but Williams moves out of range. Williams throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Williams changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jie tries to avoid it but Williams manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jie to the ground. Jie escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Williams uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jie.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jie shoots in and drives through. Williams sprawls well. Williams throws a sloppy head kick and Jie moves out of range easily. Williams fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jie looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Jie looks winded! Jie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Williams tries to avoid it but Jie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Williams to the ground. Williams escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Williams swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jie stuffs the takedown attempt from Williams. Williams gets slowly back to his feet. Williams throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Jie counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Williams tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jie tries to pull guard but Williams holds him up against the cage and eventually Jie drops back down to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A frustrated look appears on Williams's face as he tries to break the clinch. Jie is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Williams to keep the fight standing. Williams jumps guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Jie seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Jie trying to control but Williams is working from the bottom. Williams is pulling down on Jie's head to control his posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Shin Jie has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Jie shoots in for a takedown but Williams shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Williams shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jie as he jumps to the side. Jie throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Jie closes the distance and clinches. Jie wants a takedown.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jie tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Williams just stands there and leans against the cage. Williams displaying some good clinch control by pressing Jie up against the cage. Jie landing knees to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shin Jie dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Jie is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Williams will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Williams will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Williams displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jie. Jie keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Williams tries a low kick but Jie avoids it. Jie tries a head kick but it misses.

Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jie walks away with a smile on his face. Williams gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. No luck with that takedown attempt from Williams. Nice takedown defense from Williams. No joy for Jie on that attempt. Jie clinches up against the cage. Williams avoiding damage as Jie throws knees to the body.

Williams jumps guard but Jie stands there with Williams around his waist. Williams gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Williams throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jie works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Jie looking to hit a scissor sweep but Williams is one step ahead there. Jie keeping moving, preventing Williams from controlling successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Shin Jie was stalling too much, according to the referee. Jie leaves Williams with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Jie throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Williams circles away from the clinch attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shin Jie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Williams has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Jie. Jie thows a left - swing and a miss! Williams keeps the fight on the outside. Williams fails with an attempt to clinch.

Jie tries to clinch up but Williams circles away and keeps his distance. Williams stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jie. Williams rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jie moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Jie tries to clinch but Williams moves out of range. Williams takes the fight into the clinch. Williams gets underhooks to prevent Jie's takedown attempt.
Jie takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Williams drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jie pulls his leg out and moves away.

Shin Jie seems to be getting the better of the standup. Jie shoots in and drives through. Williams sprawls well. Jie tries to clinch there but Williams circles away.
Williams tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jie sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Williams somewhat. Jie misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Williams clinches up against the cage. Jie jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Williams walks away with a smile on his face. Jie gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Jie shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Williams napping and manages to drive through into side control! Williams is trying to control Jie's posture but Jie avoids it. Williams misses with an elbow from the bottom. Williams tries to buck Jie off but Jie is having none of it. Jie in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jie slips into full mount, dodging the strikes by Williams. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Williams is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Shin Jie comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jie has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Nowakowski shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Enesio pinned against the cage. Enesio gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Nowakowski avoids a punch combination nicely.
Enesio throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Nowakowski really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Enesio tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Nowakowski manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Enesio closes the distance and clinches. Nowakowski tries for a takedown. No joy.
Enesio's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Nowakowski throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Enesio tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Nowakowski is in Enesio's guard. Nowakowski trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Enesio tries to land a sweep but no joy. Nowakowski tries to free his leg and advance position but Enesio is retaining full guard. Enesio really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nowakowski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Enesio had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nowakowski defends it easily. Enesio has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nowakowski can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Nowakowski thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Enesio is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Nowakowski lets go of the hold and Enesio can pop his arm back in it's socket.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Corre closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bouthillette to the mat! Bouthillette manages to get full guard. Corre trying to control the position from guard on top but Bouthillette is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Corre is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Corre is stalling in the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We're going to have a standup here because Ricky Corre wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Bouthillette pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Bouthillette fights it but they end up in guard. Corre scoring with punches to the head and body. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Corre thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Corre postures up in Bouthillette's guard and throws a big left but Bouthillette blocks it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bouthillette lands a nice elbow. Corre is looking for a takedown. Corre seems to have got his legs back now. Bouthillette lands on the inside with an uppercut. Corre manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Corre has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Bouthillette should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Corre has tightened it up now! Bouthillette should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Evans tries to advance to mount but Marian denies him. Marian is trying to control Evans's posture but Evans avoids it. Evans tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Marian avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Evans. Evans has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Marian is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Evans yanks on the arm and Marian is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kasjan Kojder! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kojder changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Parkhurst tries to avoid it but Kojder manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Parkhurst to the ground. Parkhurst escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Parkhurst tries to clinch up and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. No luck for Kojder with that takedown attempt. Parkhurst throws a series of punches but Kojder avoids them all with ease. Parkhurst misses with a two punch combination.
Parkhurst looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Kojder! Kojder can't do much from the bottom here. Kojder sneaks out the side door and pushes Parkhurst away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. A jab from Parkhurst finds it's way through Kojder's defenses. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Parkhurst lands a jab to Kojder's midsection. Parkhurst tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kojder shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Parkhurst as he avoids it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kojder moves into the clinch. Kojder taking a breather. Kojder gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Parkhurst has had enough of the clinch but Kojder keeps him there for the moment. Kojder has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Parkhurst uses from the top position. Kojder pushes Parkhurst off and gets back to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kojder's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Kojder escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Parkhurst will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Parkhurst tries to clinch but Kojder moves out of range. Kojder manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kojder is pulling down on Parkhurst's head. It's preventing any offense from Parkhurst, at least for the moment. Kojder looking for a sweep. Not yet Kojder, not yet. Parkhurst works over Kojder with some ground and pound from guard. Parkhurst throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kojder works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Parkhurst working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Kojder utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Parkhurst throwing strikes but missing. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Parkhurst accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kojder is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Kasjan Kojder. I've got Kojder winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Leenister piles on the pressure with more strikes! Cahill is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
