Von Richtofen thows a left - swing and a miss! Felder has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Von Richtofen is landing a low percentage of strikes. Felder shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Von Richtofen eats them both and turns towards Felder to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Lima avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Ash defending well as Lima loads up on a big left hand. Ash bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Lima. Ash closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lima circles away. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ash has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Lima cracks Ash with a right hand to the side of the head.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Loiseau closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Warrior to the mat! Warrior manages to get full guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Warrior is looking for a triangle but Loiseau pushes his legs off easily.

Al Haddad works over Tuliegbay's head and body with a nice combination. Tuliegbay defending well as Al Haddad loads up on a big left hand. Al Haddad pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Tuliegbay back to the cage. Al Haddad follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Al Haddad uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tuliegbay.

Al Haddad is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tuliegbay is controlling him. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Al Haddad is on top in guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takiyama fails with an attempt to clinch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Takiyama. Santos throws a series of strikes that have Takiyama backpedaling.
It looks like Yamamoto Takiyama has been cut. Takiyama pushes Santos up against the cage in a clinch. Takiyama blocks a body shot from Santos. A short body shot lands from Santos as the two fighters clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Santos breaks from the clinch.
Santos lands a jab. Takiyama tries to clinch but Santos is having none of it. Takiyama tries to close the distance and clinch but Santos swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Santos moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Takiyama is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Santos. Santos misses with a double jab.
Santos sends Takiyama crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Santos is motioning to the referee to let Takiyama up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Takiyama is rocked! Santos tries to keep at a distance but Takiyama has taken the fight into the clinch.

Santos is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Santos is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Takiyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Koira connects with a crisp jab. Koira cracks Union with an open hand slap. Sloppy strikes from Koira. Those never looked like landing. Union throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Koira sees it coming and avoids it easily. A combination from Union does no damage. Union ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Union dodges the punch combination from Koira.

Koira misses with a looping right. Koira throws a right and a left that Union avoids nicely. Koira throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Union counters with a nice uppercut. Union has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Union there as he acknowledges the shot.
It looks like Bregan Union has been cut. Union dips to his left and cracks Koira with an uppercut! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Union lands a nice looking body shot.
Karri Koira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Koira walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
It looks like Karri Koira has been cut. A decent looking cross lands there for Koira. Union looks to land a combination but Koira avoids it well. Koira fails to land with a series of punches.

Koira is breathing heavily. Union flashes Koira a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Koira's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Koira crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Union punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ron Lemieux. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lemieux, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
