Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Lloyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jefferey Gump (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lloyd comes to the cage accompanied by Meniac by Michael Sembello. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Gump might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Lloyd has got the better of the exchanges.

Lesnar cracks a nice hook into Simmons's ribs.

No joy there for Lesnar , who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Brock Lesnar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Simmons fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lesnar sprawls well initially but Simmons persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Simmons is just content to waste time from the top position. Lesnar takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Simmons throws a big elbow that misses.
Simmons stops Lesnar from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lesnar can't keep his opponent in guard - Simmons advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Simmons is keen to just control but Lesnar is a slippery customer.
We've been hearing good reports from Lesnar 's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Simmons is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Simmons throws a strike but Lesnar avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Simmons rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lesnar moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Lesnar counters with a left and a right that hurts Simmons! He wobbles and falls to the floor - he's in big trouble! Lesnar jumps into full mount!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lesnar wants to stand but Simmons is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.

Lesnar is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Simmons moves out of range of the strikes.
Simmons uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lesnar .
Lesnar throws a right and a left that Simmons avoids nicely.
Simmons walks straight into a right hand from Lesnar - that's dropped him! Lesnar jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Simmons from any more punishment! Simmons complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
