Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mini Ask! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kevin Mcclaren! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcclaren circles away from the clinch attempt.
Mcclaren throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mcclaren is looking to clinch. Ask lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mcclaren circles away quickly and effectively. Ask throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Ask wants to clinch up but Mcclaren keeps it at a distance. Mcclaren tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ask paws at him with a jab and circles away. Mcclaren throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Mcclaren fails with the takedown. Ask tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mcclaren manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Mcclaren fails with an attempt to clinch.
Mcclaren closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ask to the mat! Ask manages to get full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ask looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mcclaren is one step ahead there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mcclaren advances position into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcclaren advances to full mount. Mcclaren controlling the pace for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ask is trying desperately to improve position. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Mcclaren working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcclaren seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Ask is holding on tight.
Mcclaren should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Mcclaren sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Mcclaren's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kevin Mcclaren wasn't active enough on the ground. A head kick misses from Ask. Mcclaren tries to clinch up but Ask circles away and keeps his distance. A left lands for Ask. Ask ducks right into an uppercut from Mcclaren. Mcclaren tries to clinch but Ask is having none of it. Ask displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mcclaren is looking to land body kicks. Mcclaren is looking to clinch. Ask moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Kevin Mcclaren seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ask misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ask lands with a straight right. Mcclaren didn't see that one coming. Mcclaren clinches. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ask prevents Mcclaren from breaking the clinch. Mcclaren fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Mcclaren shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ask but Ask pushes him off and we're back to square one. Mcclaren gets in close and instigates a clinch. Mcclaren tries to break the clinch but Ask is controlling the position. Mcclaren pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Mcclaren blocks a head kick by Ask.
Mcclaren tries to clinch but Ask is having none of it. Ask throws a series of strikes that have Mcclaren backpedaling.
Mcclaren takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Mcclaren walks into a straight right hand from Ask. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mcclaren rushes Ask and presses him up against the cage. Mcclaren decides to pull guard. Mcclaren is adopting a defensive guard. Ask stops Mcclaren from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ask working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Mcclaren has Ask pulled in close to control his posture.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Kevin Mcclaren hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Ask doesn't manage to clinch there - Mcclaren circles away.
Ask lands with a hook. Mcclaren tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Ask pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Ask fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Mcclaren on the side of the head. Ask moves out of range as Mcclaren throws a body kick.
Mcclaren defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ask. Mcclaren takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Mcclaren is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ask lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Mcclaren is looking to close the distance but Ask sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Mcclaren crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Mcclaren is OK because that was naaaaaasty!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Voigl throws a sloppy head kick and Yok moves out of range easily. Voigl closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Yok did well to prevent Voigl getting side control. Voigl trying to control the action but Yok is working from the bottom. Yok wants to control but Voigl is keeping busy and won't allow it. Yok manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Voigl keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Voigl stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Yok tries to score a body lock takedown but Voigl shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Voigl leaning his opponent against the cage. Yok tries to stall but Voigl uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Henrik Voigl showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Flemming Yok's cut. That's time! Yok's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Voigl shoots in and gets a takedown into Yok's guard. Yok looking for a guillotine here but Voigl defends easily.
Voigl wants to get up but he can't break Yok's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Voigl looking to pass the guard.

Yok is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Voigl is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Flemming Yok. The fight moves into the clinch position. Voigl stalling the fight.
Yok tries to break free but Voigl pushes him back against the cage. Voigl is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Voigl lands an elbow that stopped Yok in his tracks for a moment. A bit of stalling here from Voigl.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Henrik Voigl. Voigl feints and as Yok raises his hands in defense, Voigl changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Yok scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Flemming Yok is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Yok shoots in for a takedown but Voigl shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Voigl tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Voigl misses the shot to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Voigl tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Voigl has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Yok tries for a takedown but Voigl circles away easily and Voigl counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Voigl. Yok letting Voigl take a breather here. Voigl tries to work over Yok's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. A nice left hand lands by Voigl.

Voigl fights it off and pushes away nicely.

And that's the end of the fight! Henrik Voigl comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Voigl has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
