Kadabra comes to the cage accompanied by Steve Miller Band - Abracadabra. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab from Conte does it's job there. Kadabra tries to clinch there but Conte circles away.
Conte lands with a straight right. Kadabra didn't see that one coming. Conte checks a leg kick.
Kadabra gets in close and instigates a clinch. A short right from Conte. Kadabra tries a knee to the head but Conte blocks it.
Kadabra is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Conte is defending well for now. Kadabra missing with knees to the body.
Conte digs a right hand into Kadabra's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Kadabra's gas tank. Conte lands a nice uppercut. Conte tries to work over Kadabra's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Kadabra throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

 It looks like Giorgio Conte has been cut. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Conte as Kadabra tries to tie him up. Conte tries a body shot but Kadabra blocks it.

With the fighters up against the cage, Kadabra throws an elbow but misses. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Conte lands a body punch in the clinch. Kadabra with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kadabra. Kadabra misses with a leg kick and Conte counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
 Kadabra is rocked! Kadabra darts in trying to clinch and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Kadabra is breathing heavily. Kadabra finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Conte's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Kadabra falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rothstein connects with a right hand. Mann shakes it off. Mann throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Rothstein throws a nice outside leg kick. Mann throws a head kick but Rothstein moves out of range.

Rothstein misses with a kick to the body.
Mann looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. A decent looking body kick lands there for Mann. Mann connects with a single shot there. The crowd cheers as Mann lands an impressive looking overhand right. Rothstein doesn't seem phased though. Arnold Rothstein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mann moves out of range as Rothstein throws a body kick.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Rothstein fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Mann looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Rothstein changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Rothstein scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Mann doesn't seem bothered though. Rothstein looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Rothstein throws a push kick but Mann slaps the foot to one side. Mann throws a head kick that misses. Rothstein thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Mann if he has to take too many more of those.

Mann throws a low kick but it's checked well by Rothstein. Mann ducks right into an uppercut from Rothstein. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rothstein shoots in looking for a takedown but Mann manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rothstein's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Rothstein looks to score with a jab to the body but Mann is just out of range.

 Mann is rocked! Mann moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Sooper Mann is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Rothstein ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mann moves away. Mann lands a nice leg kick that just misses Rothstein's sensitive parts. Rothstein lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Rothstein thows a body shot but no joy. Rothstein keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Mann. Rothstein checks a leg kick. Rothstein rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mann moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A nice inside leg kick there by Mann. That's going to slow Rothstein down. Rothstein lands a nice hook to Mann's body. Mann takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Rothstein throws a body punch but Mann moves out of range.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Mann will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Mann throws an overhand right that lands on Rothstein's shoulder, as Rothstein tries to avoid the shot. Mann misses with a right hand and Rothstein counters with a straight punch to the midsection. A head kick misses from Mann. Rothstein throws a push kick but Mann slaps the foot to one side. Rothstein swings for the body but Mann moves out of range.

Rothstein lands with an uppercut that bounces Mann off the cage and back into range. Rothstein misses with a takedown attempt - Mann sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Rothstein lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Rothstein on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Rothstein is looking to wear down Mann with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Mann takes a shot right to the bread basket. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mann throws a head kick but Rothstein moves out of range.

Mann takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Rothstein lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mann has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mann and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Mann has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Rothstein finds it's way round the side to connect with Mann's head. Rothstein dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Mann lands a nice leg kick that just misses Rothstein's sensitive parts. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

and Mann cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Mann tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Arnold Rothstein is winning the standup battle so far. Rothstein lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mann circles away quickly and effectively. Rothstein lands with an overhand left. Rothstein throws a right hand that Mann ducks under and follows up with a left that Mann also avoids with ease. Mann looks to land a combination but Rothstein avoids it well. Rothstein misses with a series of wild punches.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fukuta misses with a few strikes there.
Fukuta stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Sloppy strikes from Fukuta. Those never looked like landing. Suez scores with a nice body kick.
Horrible takedown by Suez or perhaps it was just good defense by Fukuta which made him look bad. Suez pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Suez looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Fukuta tries to get to full guard but Suez has control of the leg. Fukuta has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Suez is trying to control the action in half guard but Fukuta is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Suez trying to control the pace. Suez trying to control the action but Fukuta is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
 The ref stands the fighters back up. Rafael Suez was stalling too much, according to the referee. Fukuta misses with a wild combination.

Suez uses his free foot to push down on Fukuta's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Fukuta. Fukuta regains half guard. Suez is keen to just control but Fukuta is a slippery customer.
Fukuta is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Suez pulls his head out easily. Suez passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Fukuta! Fukuta tries to improve his position but instead Suez has taken his back!
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Fukuta trying to control the hands but Suez won't let him. Suez keeps control of the position as Fukuta tries to break free.

Fukuta tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Suez wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Suez wants to control but Fukuta is keeping him busy. Fukuta tries to get back to half guard but can't.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Suez is looking to take a break and control but Fukuta is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Suez thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. You can see the frustration on Fukuta's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Fukuta is trying to get back to half guard. Suez working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Fukuta tries to bench press Suez off him but Suez keeps the position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Fukuta is trying to control Suez's posture but Suez avoids it. Fukuta seems a little lost for a moment, as Suez dominates the positioning. Rafael Suez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Suez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A chopping leg kick lands by Suez. Fukuta fails in his attempt to clinch. Sai Fukuta is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Suez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Suez throws a sloppy head kick and Fukuta moves out of range easily. Suez attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Fukuta lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Suez backs up against the cage.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Fukuta throws a right and a left that Suez avoids nicely. Suez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Fukuta swivels and escapes. Suez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fukuta sprawls well. Fukuta wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Suez gets slowly back to his feet. Fukuta misses with a jab, cross combination.
Fukuta uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Suez. Fukuta throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Suez tries to land a front kick but Fukuta steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Suez fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fukuta avoids it really well and circles away. Sai Fukuta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rafael Suez. Fukuta fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Suez slips under a jab. Fukuta tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Suez was well out of range. Poor timing from Fukuta.
Suez drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Fukuta looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Suez looking to sit in guard and control but Fukuta gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Suez keeping moving, preventing Fukuta from controlling successfully. Fukuta throws a big elbow that misses. Rafael Suez has got the better of the ground game so far. Fukuta wants to get up but he can't break Suez's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Suez manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Fukuta manages to get himself to full guard.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Suez postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Suez stops Fukuta from standing up. Suez controls the pace of the fight for a moment. This has been an exciting period of action! Suez advances to half guard. Fukuta trying to hold on to Suez's head to control him but Suez postures up.
Suez wants to take a breather but Fukuta is having none of it.

Suez seems to be working for a kimura but Fukuta defends the submission attempt. Fukuta tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Fukuta is refusing to be controlled, as Suez sits in half guard.
Fukuta looking for submissions off his back. Nice strikes from Suez there. Rafael Suez is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Suez is taking a breather. Fukuta says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. My spies in Stark Slugger Society - NY inform me that Suez has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Fukuta is trying to stand up here but Suez is controlling him well.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Suez in particular looking to stall. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
 OK we're going to have a standup here. Rafael Suez hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Fukuta throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Suez. Suez swinging wildly here.
Suez connects with a solid leg kick. Suez throws out a powerful jab. Sloppy strikes from Fukuta. Those never looked like landing. Suez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fukuta pinned against the cage. Fukuta gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Horrible takedown by Suez or perhaps it was just good defense by Fukuta which made him look bad. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that's the end of the fight! Rafael Suez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Suez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.  The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rodriguez darts in trying to clinch and Nunes counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Rodriguez dives in for a single leg takedown but Nunes sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Nunes blocks an elbow strike from Rodriguez.
Nunes manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Rodriguez trying to control the position from guard on top but Nunes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rodriguez cracks Nunes with a solid left hand. Rodriguez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nunes swivels though and keeps the full guard. Rodriguez wants to get up but he can't break Nunes's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Nunes wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Rodriguez manages to pass to side control. Nunes really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Nunes is trying to get back to full guard.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Rodriguez working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. Rodriguez lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Nunes is trying to stand up here but Rodriguez is controlling him well. Rodriguez not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Rodriguez is thwarting Nunes's attempts to control the position. Nunes tries to get to full guard but Rodriguez has control of the leg. Rodriguez moves into full mount! Nunes won't be happy about that! Rodriguez prevents Nunes from getting the reversal.

Rodriguez is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Nunes to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Nunes shrugs it off. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Rodriguez cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that De La Torre has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Desjardins lands a straight punch to the body, keeping De La Torre at a distance.

The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kikovic manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Dusan Kikovic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyle Turris. Turris takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Turris stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kikovic. The fighters circling - Turris throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Turris misses with a looping right. Dusan Kikovic is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Turris throws a hook but Kikovic blocks it. We've been hearing reports that Kikovic has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kikovic connects with an inside leg kick. Turris takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Turris crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kikovic - the referee stops the clock and Turris gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kikovic. Turris manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Turris misses with a body shot.
Turris tries to close the distance and clinch but Kikovic swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Turris throws a right and a left that both miss. Kikovic bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Kikovic with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Kikovic throws a head kick that misses. Kikovic swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Kikovic takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Turris wants to clinch. Kikovic displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Turris throws out the jab. Kikovic thows a body shot but no joy. Kikovic scores with a kick to the body.

Turris takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. This has been an exciting period of action! Kikovic misses with an attempted mid kick.

Kaivo Huone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Urijah Faber. Huone paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Huone's corner calls for a 1-2. Huone obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
 Faber is rocked! Faber staying out of range there. Faber is still on wobbly legs! Can Huone finish him? Huone pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Faber seems to have recovered his senses. Huone swings for the body but Faber moves out of range.

Huone is fighting to maintain full guard but Faber has managed to sneak the leg through. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Faber is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Huone sees it coming and defends easily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Faber looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Faber seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Faber is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Huone reverses the position - he's now on top in Faber's guard. Huone postures up.
Huone has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Huone sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Faber working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Huone doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Huone manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Phoenix lands a two punch combo.
 It looks like Karri Koira has been cut. Nice uppercut there from Koira. Phoenix tries to land a front kick but Koira steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Phoenix slips a jab from Koira. Koira fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Phoenix manages to avoid it. Phoenix throws a series of punches but Koira moves out of range. Phoenix wants to clinch up but Koira keeps it at a distance. Koira misses with a hook. Phoenix ducked under it nicely. Koira lands a jab. Phoenix misses with a wild body shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Phoenix lands with a cross. Phoenix misses with a straight right. Phoenix has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Gentlemanly Scholars Fight Club Gym(4 Sprbt 4*+)(1 in the buildup to the fight. Koira lands a body shot.
We've been informed that Koira has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Koira swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Phoenix. Koira fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Phoenix manages to avoid it.

Phoenix closes the distance and pushes Koira back into the cage. Koira lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Koira moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Phoenix cracks Koira with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Phoenix ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Koira throws a shot from downtown. Phoenix moves away and avoids it. Koira misses with a hook
and Phoenix counters with a nice uppercut. Koira scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Koira misses with a wild combination.
Koira throws a jab but it's blocked by Phoenix. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Koira works Phoenix's body with a nice hook. Phoenix takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Koira looks to land a left hand but Phoenix moved out of range nicely. Phoenix connects with a body shot that sends Koira's belly button to the back. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Karri Koira dominated that round. The cut man is working on Karri Koira's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

The fighters circling - Koira throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Phoenix throws a sloppy head kick and Koira moves out of range easily. Nice defenses there by Phoenix.  That's three minutes gone in the round. Phoenix throws a solid leg kick but Koira takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Phoenix. Koira uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Phoenix. Phoenix throws a nice inside leg kick. Koira misses with a wild combination.

That was a close second round but I would say that Simon Phoenix will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Karri Koira's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Hermansson checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Hermansson looks to score with a jab to the body but The Chef is just out of range. Hermansson shoots in for a double leg but The Chef sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Hermansson throws a lazy uppercut

This has been an exciting period of action! Hermansson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Hermansson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts The Chef as he jumps to the side. The Chef shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
 That's one minute gone in the round. The Chef throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Hermansson lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. No joy there for Hermansson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hermansson thows a body shot but no joy. The crowd cheers as The Chef lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hermansson doesn't seem phased though. Hermansson loads up on a big right hand but The Chef slips the punch. Hermansson swinging wildly here.
The Chef fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hermansson on the side of the head.
 Hermansson is rocked! The Chef lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Hermansson crumples to the floor! The Chef milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Raekwon The Chef! Raekwon The Chef bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
