DJ Deckin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Koltun rattles Deckin with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Deckin tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Koltun dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Deckin stiff and motionless on the mat!

Berg fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Pierre to the ground. Berg is now in Pierre's guard.
Pierre looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Pierre really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Let's hope that Berg has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Nicklas Berg hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Pierre looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Be gets tackled into the cage by Riberio. Riberio maintains the clinch.

Be has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Riberio is trying to keep an underhook but Be manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Riberio is refusing to be controlled, as Be sits in half guard.
Be is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Riberio is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Riberio tries to roll over but Be keeps him under control.
Be thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Riberio's head.

Be is looking for a kimura but Riberio is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Be to get the leverage.

Be cracks Riberio with a big right hand but Riberio just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Riberio is not content to let Be control the position.
Be looks up at the clock and then as Riberio takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Be smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Be looking to control but instead Riberio has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Be passes to full mount!
Riberio bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Be knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Riberio on the ground.
It looks like Riberio might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Be on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Be tries to get out of the position.

Be is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Riberio is controlling him.
Riberio trying to control but Be is working from the bottom.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Riberio engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Riberio darts in and clinches Be up against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Be throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Eric Be will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Be is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Riberio can't fight it off and eventually Be manages to take the fight to the floor. Riberio looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Be trying to control the position from guard on top but Riberio is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Riberio is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Be's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Riberio might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Be haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Be got a little sloppy there for a moment and Riberio has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Be has managed to get both his arms back between Riberio's legs - danger averted.

Riberio has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Be can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Be wants to control from the top but Riberio keeps moving.
Be stands up over Riberio, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Riberio is on top in guard.
Riberio stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Be swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Riberio goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Be has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Riberio but great work by Be.

Riberio has the hooks in. Be is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

We've been told by Solovynov's head coaches at Supremacy MMA Academy and Gym (12 ELITE Coaches) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
