Mullen gets tackled into the cage by Thompson. Thompson maintains the clinch.
Mullen jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Thompson walks away with a smile on his face. Mullen gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Mullen doesn't manage to clinch there - Thompson circles away.
Mullen gets a takedown into half guard.
Mullen looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Mullen seems to be working for a kimura but Thompson defends the submission attempt.

Mullen is looking for a kimura but Thompson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mullen to get the leverage.
