10 - 9 - 1, fighting out of New York, Kon Sai! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Russell Pearce and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sai misses with an attempted mid kick.
Belvedere IV scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Sai doesn't seem bothered though. Belvedere IV misses with a straight left. Belvedere IV displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sai throws out the jab. Sai shoots for a double leg takedown but Belvedere IV sprawls well. He's pushed Sai's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Belvedere IV avoids a punch combination nicely.

Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Belvedere IV misses with a body kick. Belvedere IV bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Sai's head backwards. Sai throws a sloppy head kick and Belvedere IV moves out of range easily. Belvedere IV lands a nice leg kick that just misses Sai's sensitive parts. Sai misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Halo scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Volkov moves forwards but Halo connects with a nice, crisp jab. That kick from Halo tenderised Volkov's leg. Volkov is trying to keep his angry face on. Jab by Halo. Volkov walks into a jab. Volkov misses with an uppercut. We've been informed that Halo has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Volkov keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Halo. Volkov blocks a head kick by Halo.

Volkov throws a hook to the side of Halo's head but Halo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Halo uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Volkov. Halo has managed to clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! Vincent Volkov showed his dominance in that final round. Well Halo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harter misses the shot to the body. Harter throws a lazy uppercut
and Rapp counters with a right hand to the body. Harter tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rapp defends well and Harter ends up having to push Rapp into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. I was talking to Rapp's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Rapp blocking some punches.

Miller gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Miller throws a wild body kick that Perez sees coming a mile off. Perez swings for the body but Miller moves out of range.
Perez drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Perez connects with a leg kick. Miller looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Perez throws a leg kick that is checked and Miller counters with a series of strikes. Perez will be more careful next time no doubt. Perez takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Shang Chi! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Glen Starner! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Anthony Taglia and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A decent looking cross lands there for Starner. Starner fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Chi to the ground. Starner is now in Chi's guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Starner has gone for a leg lock! Chi slips out almost immediately though and dives into Starner's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Starner wants to improve his position but instead Chi has moved into half guard.
Starner is looking for a sweep. Chi is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Chi tries to stand and escape but Starner is controlling the position. Starner moves into full guard.
Chi wants to stand but Starner has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chi preventing the sweep. Starner trying to control the position.
Starner has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Chi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Chi avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Starner wants to sweep here but Chi controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Starner throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Chi escapes and throws Starner's legs to the side, diving into side control! Chi has control of an arm but Starner manages to advance to Chi's back! Chi looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Chi is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chi fending off the submission attempt from Starner. Starner keeps control of the position as Chi tries to break free.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Starner missing with strikes. I really don't envy Chi right now.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Starner's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Starner working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Starner doesn't have the hooks in and Chi manages to turn into his guard.
Starner is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Starner is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Starner is on top in guard.
Starner throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Starner stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chi swivels though and keeps the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Glen Starner dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Starner throws a right and a left that Chi avoids nicely. Chi throws a leg kick but Starner moved away. Starner throws a hook but Chi avoids it easily. Starner has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight. Starner looks to land a combination. Chi sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Starner connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Chi throws a nice outside leg kick. Starner dives in for a single leg takedown but Chi sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Chi misses with a hook to the ribs.
Starner has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Chi is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Chi throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Starner jumps guard but Chi turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Shang Chi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Glen Starner. Chi lands a hook that snaps the head of Starner backwards. Chi fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Chi just stands there and leans against the cage. Starner blocks a body shot from Chi. Starner pushes Chi back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Chi is leaning against Starner and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. A right hand to the body from Chi.

That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Chi digs a right hand into Starner's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Starner's gas tank. Chi lands with a right to the head. Chi working some nice short punches in the clinch. Chi tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Starner breaks from the clinch.
Chi slips under a jab. Chi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Starner. That did some damage! Chi looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Starner is rocked! Chi cracks the inside of Starner's front leg. Starner is still on wobbly legs! Can Chi finish him? Chi scoring well with a low kick there.
Starner seems to have recovered his senses. Starner is breathing heavily. Chi connects with a nice looking jab.
Chi throws a leg kick which misses Starner's front leg but catches the back leg as Starner tries to avoid it. Chi connects with a leg kick. Starner looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Chi throws a front kick aimed at Starner's knee but Starner avoids it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Starner on the wrong end of a nice hook. Chi closes the distance and pushes Starner back into the cage. Chi misses with a punch on the inside.

Chi does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Chi cracks Starner with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Chi lands a nice looking body shot.

Starner moves out of range of the leg kick from Chi. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Chi looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Chi feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Starner's calf. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Starner lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Shang Chi is winning the standup battle so far. A solid body kick from Chi. Starner moves out of range of the strikes. Starner ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Glen Starner is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Starner stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Chi. Chi looks for the body kick but Starner saw that one coming. Starner looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Chi throws out a powerful jab. Chi throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Starner is looking to score with low kicks. A nice leg kick lands there from Chi. Chi throws a front kick aimed at Starner's knee but Starner avoids it well.

Starner shoots for a double leg takedown but Chi sprawls well. He's pushed Starner's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Starner takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Chi is looking to slow Starner down with leg kicks. Starner misses with a double jab.

Chi keeping moving, preventing Starner from controlling successfully. Starner trying to move into half guard but instead Chi has managed to sweep!

Chi shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Chi throws a chopping leg kick but Starner manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Chi misses with a low kick.

Starner throws a body punch but Chi moves out of range. Chi misses the shot to the body. Starner stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Chi. Starner checks a leg kick nicely. Chi thows a left - swing and a miss! Starner scores with a jab. Chi acknowledges it with a nod of the head. The fight stays on the outside here - Chi looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Chi lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Chi throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Chi throws a nice outside leg kick. Chi tries to clinch but Starner is having none of it. Chi misses with an attempted mid kick.
Chi thumps Starner with a low kick. Starner fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Chi avoids it really well and circles away. Chi is looking to clinch. Chi lands a leg kick that knocks Starner off balance momentarily. Chi connects with an inside leg kick. Chi lands a big head kick that sends Starner tumbling to the mat! Chi takes a step backwards and waves Starner back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Shang Chi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Glen Starner. Chi gets through Starner's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Starner tries to throw a body punch but Chi avoids it by throwing Starner back against the cage. Starner goes for a takedown attempt but Chi pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Starner looks to land a right hand but Chi moved out of range. Chi lands a big right hand that sends Starner crashing to the mat! Chi stays standing though and waves Starner back to his feet! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Chi throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Chi tries to clinch up but Starner circles away and keeps his distance. Chi is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Chi drops Starner with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Starner! Chi dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shang Chi! Shang Chi retains his lightweight title! Shang Chi decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
