The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Espada thuds a left hand into Fair's body. Espada keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Horrible takedown by Fair or perhaps it was just good defense by Espada which made him look bad. Espada jabs Fair to the body, keeping him at a distance. Fair moves forwards but Espada connects with a nice, crisp jab. Fair with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Espada to score with a decent uppercut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Fair fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Fair needs to keep his hands up - Espada had a free shot at his head there. Espada connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Fair takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Espada ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Fair throws a series of punches but Espada avoids them all with ease.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fair takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Fair is breathing heavily. Espada digs a good body shot into Fair's ribs. Espada scores with a hook to the body. Fair takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Espada changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Fair takes a body punch but keeps moving. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Espada comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Espada lands with a straight right. Fair didn't see that one coming. Fair takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Espada scores with a jab to the jaw. Oooooh!!! Espada has knocked Fair down with a huge combo! Espada steps away and waves a wobbly Fair back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Macotti keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Macotti drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Macotti chips away with some ground and pound.
It looks like Gideao Tavares has been cut. Tavares throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Tavares keeping moving, preventing Macotti from controlling successfully. Macotti postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Macotti advances position into side control! Macotti working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Macotti has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. And that's the end of the fight! Chris Mayo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Mayo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hansen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chappell swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hansen prevents Chappell from getting back to his feet.

Nice takedown defense from Chappell. No joy for Hansen on that attempt. Chappell tries to close the distance and clinch but Hansen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Chappell tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A head kick misses from Chappell. Hansen closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Chappell did well to prevent Hansen getting side control. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hansen connects with a nice short shot to Chappell's temple. Hansen throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Hansen not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Chappell on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hansen looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
