2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Timur Ruslanov! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ruslanov throws a series of punches but Leg moves out of range. Ruslanov shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Leg napping and manages to drive through into side control! Leg is looking to reverse the position. Ruslanov avoids the strikes from the bottom by Leg. Ruslanov is trying to get an arm triangle but Leg is defending well. Ruslanov tries to advance to mount but Leg denies him. Leg can't do much from the bottom here. Ruslanov looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Ruslanov trying to control the position but Leg is working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruslanov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ruslanov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Ruslanov trying to control the position but Leg is working away. Ruslanov tries to advance to mount but Leg instead regains half guard. Leg works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Leg is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ruslanov is controlling him. Leg trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Ruslanov tries to free his leg and advance position but Leg is retaining full guard. Leg is trying to control the position but Ruslanov postures up. Leg working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ruslanov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ruslanov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Leg wants to get back to his feet but Ruslanov is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Ruslanov pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Leg is keeping the position for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ruslanov thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Leg manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Leg wants to stand up but Ruslanov is controlling the position.
Ruslanov tries to kick Leg off but Leg keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. That's two minutes gone in the round. Ruslanov is still trying to improve position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Leg avoids the attempt from Ruslanov to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Leg lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Leg controlling from mount. Leg is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Ruslanov is surviving well by controlling Leg's body position as best he can. Leg is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Ruslanov can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Ruslanov tries to improve his position but instead Leg has taken his back! Ruslanov rolls, trying to escape but Leg keeps control of the position.

Poo Leg dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Ruslanov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Leg counters with a big head kick but Ruslanov shrugs it off. Ruslanov misses with a takedown and Leg counters into the clinch. Nicely done. A battle for position here, against the cage. Ruslanov pulls guard effortlessly. Ruslanov tries to land a sweep but no joy. Leg trying to control but Ruslanov is working from the bottom. Leg stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ruslanov swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ruslanov preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leg stays in close to Ruslanov's body and controls the position. Leg has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Leg is working Ruslanov over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Leg stopping the sweep attempt from Ruslanov. Ruslanov throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Leg escapes and throws Ruslanov's legs to the side, diving into side control! Ruslanov takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Leg trying to control the action but Ruslanov is working from the bottom. Ruslanov looks to move to half guard but instead Leg has passed into mount! Damn!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Leg fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Leg avoids the attempt from Ruslanov to control. Leg tries to control but Ruslanov wriggling away. Leg connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Ruslanov gets back to half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Leg scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Ruslanov wants to get back to full guard but Leg has passed into side control. Leg wants to control but Ruslanov is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here. Ruslanov tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Leg takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Leg avoids the attempt from Ruslanov to control. Leg controlling the pace for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ruslanov tries to lock up and control but Leg gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Leg looking to control but Ruslanov is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Ruslanov wants to hold on but Leg pushes him away. Ruslanov reaches up to try and control the position but Leg seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Ruslanov rolls and tries to escape and now Leg has his back!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Leg throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Ruslanov!
Leg tightening his grip on Ruslanov, looking for the choke. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Leg wants to control the position but Ruslanov frees himself and scrambles - Leg manages to regain control in side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Poo Leg showed his dominance in that final round. Well Leg has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bolan tries to clinch up but Fish circles away and keeps his distance. Jon Paul Fish seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fish throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Fish throws a head kick but Bolan moves out of range.
Bolan looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Bolan is looking to clinch but Fish is avoiding it.
Bolan tries to clinch up. Fish throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Fish throws a leg kick which misses Bolan's front leg but catches the back leg as Bolan tries to avoid it. Fish throws a leg kick but Bolan sees it coming and moves out of range. Fish misses with a leg kick. We've been told by Fish's head coaches at Finch Farm that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Fish scores with a leg kick.

Fish throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Fish thumps Bolan with a low kick. Fish tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Bolan looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Bolan wants to clinch. Bolan keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Fish.

Bolan takes a kick to the side of the head. Bolan tries to close the distance and clinch but Fish swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Fish buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Good leg kick by Fish there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Fish misses with a low kick. Fish fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Bolan blocks a low kick nicely. Fish avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Fish throws a front kick aimed at Bolan's knee but Bolan avoids it well. Fish throws a leg kick which misses Bolan's front leg but catches the back leg as Bolan tries to avoid it. Bolan has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Fish throws a head kick that misses. Fish swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A decent looking cross lands there for Fish. Fish scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Bolan has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Fish. Fish thumps Bolan with a low kick. Fish lands a nice leg kick that just misses Bolan's sensitive parts. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Fish fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bolan manages to avoid it. Fish just misses with a punch to the body.
Fish throws a right hand that Bolan ducks under and follows up with a left that Bolan also avoids with ease. Bolan takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Bolan moves in looking to clinch but Fish pushes him off. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bolan takes a kick to the side of the head. Fish buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Fish is looking to score with low kicks. Bolan displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Fish throws out the jab. Fish scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Fish avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Fish tries to land a front kick but Bolan steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Fish throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

They are putting on a show! Bolan sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Fish doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Bolan paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Fish - great work!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barsov lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Barsov lands a slapping body shot.
We've been told by Koban's head coaches at Iron Fist Training that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Koban ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Koban throws a front kick aimed at Barsov's knee but Barsov avoids it well. Barsov cracks Koban with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Nice cross by Barsov. Some wild striking there from Barsov.
Barsov connects with a body shot that sends Koban's belly button to the back. Barsov clobbers Koban with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Koban throws a leg kick and Barsov counters with an inside leg kick. Koban throws a low kick but it's checked well by Barsov. Koban throws a hook but Barsov avoids it easily. Barsov checks a leg kick. Barsov has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Koban pivots, looking for a leg kick but Barsov is out of range and Koban settles back down. Koban is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Koban looks to land a left hand but Barsov moved out of range nicely. Barsov avoids the head kick by Koban.
Zvone Koban seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Barsov lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Barsov clinches up with Koban and pushes him back against the cage. Barsov is trying to push Koban away but Koban has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Barsov looking to stall.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Koban has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Barsov clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Barsov wants to escape the position but for the time being he's just trying to control the pace. This has been an exciting period of action! Barsov wants to control his opponent's hands but Koban gets his hands free. Koban trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Barsov trying to control the action but Koban just sinks the hooks in. Koban controlling well, preventing Barsov from escaping the position.
Barsov manages to reverse the position and now he's in Koban's guard. Nice work there by Barsov.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Barsov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barsov loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Barsov throwing strikes but missing. Barsov throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Koban is trying to control the position but Barsov postures up. Barsov in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Koban utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Koban is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Barsov throws a big elbow that misses. Koban is breathing heavily. Barsov with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barsov with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barsov connects with a couple of short punches.
Koban is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Barsov not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Oh Koban is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Barsov postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Koban covers up, he's hurt! Barsov keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Barsov and the ref steps in to end the fight! Barsov can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sobotka throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Sobotka looks to throw the jab but Threepwood is out of range. Threepwood blocks a head kick by Sobotka.
Sobotka lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Threepwood circles away quickly and effectively. Sobotka misses the shot to the body. Threepwood lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Sobotka shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Threepwood defends it nicely. Sobotka throws a lazy head kick and Threepwood counters with a lovely straight right hand! Sobotka looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Sobotka misses the body punch and Threepwood counters with a lovely shot to the body. Threepwood avoids the body shot from Sobotka.

Lagk advances position into side control! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lagk working the ground and pound. Lagk trying to control the action but Ismailov is working from the bottom. Lagk has knee on belly and moves into mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lagk breaks from Ismailov's wrist control and lands an elbow. Lagk controlling from mount. Ismailov tries to hold on but Lagk postures up. Lagk has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ismailov's face.

Lagk tries to control but Ismailov wriggling away. Ismailov gets back to half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lagk trying to control the pace. Nick Lagk is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Let's hope that Lagk has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ismailov looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Lagk looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ismailov with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barral throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around The Shark's waist but The Shark gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Barral off to one side. The Shark throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Barral ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. A combination from The Shark does no damage. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by The Shark!
The Shark throws a right and a left that Barral avoids nicely. The Shark gets caught flat footed, as Barral shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Barral postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! The Shark is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Barral, into his guard. The Shark must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. The Shark is posturing up here but Barral has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! The Shark tries to roll out but it's too tight and The Shark has to tap! Slick submission there by Barral!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ibelin connects with a crisp jab. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Bigalo, right into the meat.
Ibelin sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Ibelin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Bigalo gets in close and instigates a clinch. Ibelin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bigalo walks away with a smile on his face. Ibelin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ibelin has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Bigalo slips under a jab from Ibelin. Bigalo catches Ibelin with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ibelin shoots in and drives through. Bigalo sprawls well. Duce Bigalo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Balian Ibelin. Ibelin on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Bigalo. Bigalo obviously looking to wear him down.

Bigalo goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Bigalo because Ibelin was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

Thai Boxing Academy 13 ELITE COACHES & SAUNA in the buildup to the fight. Maruska feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Angel sprawling to the canvas! Angel rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Maruska finish him?!

Thor is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Tyson. Thor lands with a nice body punch. Thor throws a leg kick that is checked and Tyson counters with a stiff right hand. Thor fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tyson manages to avoid it.

I was talking to Thor's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Thor misses with a hook to the ribs.
