1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hans Donnerwetter! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shirou Masuda and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Donnerwetter rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
enabling Wiaz to counter with a crisp jab. Donnerwetter scores with a hook. Wiaz displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Donnerwetter throws out the jab. We've been hearing reports that Wiaz has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Donnerwetter throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. A good leg kick by Donnerwetter. Donnerwetter throws out a loose jab but Wiaz uses good head movement to avoid it. Donnerwetter pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A telegraphed right hand from Donnerwetter misses the target. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Donnerwetter, right into the meat.
Donnerwetter lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Donnerwetter tries to work over Wiaz's front leg with a kick but Wiaz checks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wiaz tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Wiaz tries to move into range but Donnerwetter moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Donnerwetter lands with a thumping leg kick.
A head kick misses from Donnerwetter. Donnerwetter bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Wiaz is rocked! Wiaz drops his hands momentarily and Donnerwetter needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Wiaz just on the top of the head. Wiaz drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Wiaz - he's done!

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dominik Kokoszka! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Sano and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takayanagi shoots in for a double leg but Kokoszka sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Kokoszka clobbers Takayanagi with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Takayanagi cracks Kokoszka with a good jab. Kokoszka defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Takayanagi. Takayanagi fails in his attempt to clinch. Takayanagi is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kokoszka's half guard. Kokoszka wants to get back to his feet. Takayanagi is nestled in close to Kokoszka, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kokoszka can do anything to dispel that myth. Takayanagi sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kokoszka defending well though. Takayanagi wants to control but Kokoszka is keeping him busy. Kokoszka tries to get to full guard but Takayanagi has control of the leg. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Takayanagi thows a huge punch but Kokoszka dodges it nicely.
Kokoszka really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Takayanagi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kokoszka is looking for a sweep. Takayanagi is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Takayanagi is keen to just control but Kokoszka is a slippery customer. Takayanagi is just content to waste time from the top position. Kokoszka takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Takayanagi slips nicely into half guard. Takayanagi throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Kokoszka felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Takayanagi trying to pass the guard but Kokoszka defending well. Takayanagi is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kokoszka doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Takayanagi. Kokoszka fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Takayanagi manages to avoid it. Takayanagi swings for the body but Kokoszka moves out of range.
Takayanagi misses with a takedown attempt - Kokoszka sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Meguru Takayanagi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kokoszka connects with a nice looking jab.
Kokoszka drops Takayanagi with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Takayanagi! Kokoszka dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Georlev tries for a takedown but Chulo circles away easily and Chulo counters with a takedown into side control. Chulo in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Chulo tries to move to mount but Georlev blocks the move with his legs. Chulo is looking to take a break and control but Georlev is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Georlev struggling a bit here. McMullen stopping the sweep attempt from Levan. McMullen thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Possibly, maybe, no McMullen has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! McMullen is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Levan knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. McMullen taking a breather here. McMullen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Levan keeps working. Levan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McMullen on the ground.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! T Jr has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Lansky. T Jr steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Lansky. That one must have hurt. Lansky chopping away at his opponent's legs.
T Jr is breathing heavily. Lansky fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. This has been an exciting period of action! An inside leg kick lands from Lansky. Lansky uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before T Jr has time to react.
It looks like Tonio T Jr has been cut. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! T Jr crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lansky - the referee stops the clock and T Jr gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lansky. T Jr manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Lansky with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Lansky dips to his left and cracks T Jr with an uppercut! Lansky feints with a left and delivers a massive head kick! T Jr collapses like a ragdoll! Game over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nicolosi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bekoyan was well out of range. Poor timing from Nicolosi. Nicolosi pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Nicolosi cracks a nice hook into Bekoyan's ribs. Bekoyan doesn't succeed with the takedown and Nicolosi counters with a nice body shot. We've been told by Nicolosi's head coaches at Team Butcher Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Bekoyan shoots in but no luck this time. Nicolosi bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Bekoyan's head. Bekoyan takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Bekoyan looks winded! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bekoyan takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Bekoyan on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Nicolosi. Nicolosi obviously looking to wear him down.
Nicolosi wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Bekoyan takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Nicolosi misses with a wild combination.

Nicolosi throws a nice outside leg kick. Nicolosi throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Nicolosi throws a nice inside leg kick. Bekoyan takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

That's one minute gone in the round. Donk. Nicolosi catches Bekoyan right on the button with a cross. Nicolosi scores with a kick to the midsection. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nicolosi jabs Bekoyan to the body, keeping him at a distance. BOOM! Nicolosi lands a beautiful left hook that drops Bekoyan. Bekoyan tries to recover but Nicolosi is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Bekoyan lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Smith might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Miller tries to clinch up. Smith on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Miller avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
