The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pope blocks a jab.
Retso shoots in for a double leg but Pope sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Retso has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Pope is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Retso throws a jab but it's blocked by Pope.
Retso misses with a hook
and Pope counters with an outside leg kick.
Pope with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Retso to score with a decent uppercut.

Retso shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pope's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Retso got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pope has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Retso has managed to get both his arms back between Pope's legs - danger averted.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Wood throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Wood just misses with a punch to the body.

Duggary gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Duggary has hold of Wood's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Wood seems comfortable defending it but Duggary has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Wood is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Wood is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Duggary couldn't care less - he's delighted!
