The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Von Liechtenstein misses with a body shot.
A lazy left from Von Liechtenstein finds it's target. Arjen Von Liechtenstein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shifter bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Von Liechtenstein defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Shifter. Von Liechtenstein connects with a nice looking jab.
Von Liechtenstein works Shifter's body with a nice hook. Shifter uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Von Liechtenstein. Von Liechtenstein throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Von Liechtenstein sizes up Shifter with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Von Liechtenstein forces Shifter back against the cage and clinches. Shifter wants to get back to full guard. Shifter slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Shifter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Von Liechtenstein escapes and throws Shifter's legs to the side, diving into side control! Shifter tries to improve position but can't. Shifter is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Von Liechtenstein tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Von Liechtenstein has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Von Liechtenstein is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Shifter is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown misses with a left hand and Hercules counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Hercules chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Hercules with a body punch. A glancing blow. Hercules tries to land a front kick but Brown steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. A looping hook to the body misses from Brown. Hercules does a little dance to reset his feet. Brown throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Brown jabs at Hercules's body. Brown works Hercules's body with a nice hook. Brown listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Brown lands a glancing blow to the side of Hercules's head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hercules scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Brown doesn't seem bothered though. Brown connects with a single shot there. Hercules misses the jab. A jab from Hercules does it's job there. Brown misses with a straight right.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Hercules. That one must have hurt. Brown lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Hercules scores with a nice body kick.

Donk. Hercules catches Brown right on the button with a cross. Brown takes a shot to the body in his stride.
This has been an exciting period of action! Hercules throws a low kick but Brown moves out of range easily. That kick from Hercules tenderised Brown's leg. Brown is trying to keep his angry face on. Brown has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Hercules. Brown looks winded! Brown throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hercules blocks a jab. Brown walks into a left hand. Brown tries to clinch up but Hercules circles away and keeps his distance. A kick lands to the mid section there for Hercules.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hercules lands a glancing blow to the side of Brown's head. Brown walks straight into a right hand from Hercules - that's dropped him! Hercules jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Brown from any more punishment! Brown complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Gunter Prince Hercules! Our winner, Gunter Prince Hercules, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.

Dos Santos is looking to control Jihad's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dos Santos avoid being mounted? Jihad moves into full mount! Dos Santos won't be happy about that! Jihad lands a big elbow. Dos Santos has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Dos Santos wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Jihad sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Jihad raining down shots from the mount! This has been an exciting period of action! Jihad landing punches.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dyson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Mustacho throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Dyson to counter with a crisp jab. A big right from Mustacho misses. Dyson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Mustacho fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Mustacho lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Dyson checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Dyson on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Mustacho. Mustacho obviously looking to wear him down.
Mustacho lands a jab to Dyson's midsection. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mustacho has managed to clinch.
Dyson trying to control the position but instead, Mustacho has worked for underhooks and has pushed Dyson into the cage. Dyson fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. The fight stays on the outside here - Mustacho looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

We've been informed that Bollanos has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Parta throws a quick inside leg kick. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A bone on bone clash there as St John blocks the leg kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Muno. St John lands a nice hook to Muno's body. Muno takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. St John takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Muno tries to clinch up. Muno tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Muno scores with a push kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A head kick misses from Muno. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that St John has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. St John takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Muno tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. St John manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. A nice inside leg kick there by Muno. That's going to slow St John down. Muno throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Muno scores with a jab to the jaw.
It looks like Colin St John has been cut. Muno misses with a body kick. Muno has been working on his boxing with his coaches at SWF GYM - JUDO 'n' MMA in the buildup to the fight. Muno fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
St John throws out a token jab with nothing on it. St John misses with an uppercut. Muno saw that one coming. St John shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than St John was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
