The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eaton is looking to clinch but Li is avoiding it.
Li connects with a body shot that sends Eaton's belly button to the back.
Li circles away from the clinch attempt
and Li counters with a series of strikes. Eaton will be more careful next time no doubt.
Eaton tries to clinch there but Li circles away.
A decent looking cross lands there for Li.
Howard Li seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Eaton dives in for a single leg takedown but Li sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Li breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Li scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Eaton doesn't seem bothered though.
Eaton tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Li paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Li closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Eaton out cold! Eaton corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.

Howard Li decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
In defeat, Abe Eaton stepped up to the mic, saying 'I would like to kill a motherfucker, set his house on fire, and buttfuck his wife to death. I am a tiger, a morphological anonomly, a burpslurper. You are nothing. We all go around the chicken coop.'.

Trumi Drake told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ma fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Drake sprawls well initially but Ma persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Drake trying to control but Ma postures up.
Ma stalling.

Ma has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Drake defend it? Ma steps over the head and cranks it - Drake is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Ma!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calia moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Damons misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Calia fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Damons has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Calia!
Calia tries to bum rush Damons with a series of wild strikes but Damons uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Calia closes the distance and lands a one-two.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Damons gets caught napping as Calia dives in and scores a takedown. Damons manages to retain guard.

Calia postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Damons on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Damons doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Tickel blocks the body kick.
Belfort throws a nice outside leg kick.
Tickel really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Tickel throws a looping overhand right but Belfort ducks down to avoid it.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tickel.
Tickel misses with a takedown
and Belfort counters with a solid body kick.
Tickel throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

and Belfort counters with a body kick that stops Tickel in his tracks momentarily.
Tickel has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Will Tickel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tickel throws a lazy right hand but Belfort sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Tickel tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Belfort fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Tickel looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Both fighters circling a little - Belfort finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tickel tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Belfort throws a leg kick which misses Tickel's front leg but catches the back leg as Tickel tries to avoid it.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Belfort has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

A head kick lands from Belfort that sends Tickel to the canvas. Tickel tries to scramble back to his feet but Belfort brings him back down into side control.

It looks like Will Tickel has been cut.
Belfort wants to control but Tickel is keeping him busy.
Belfort tries to advance to mount but Tickel denies him.
Tickel tries to buck Belfort off but Belfort is having none of it.

Tickel bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Tickel stalks Belfort and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Belfort 's face. Belfort staggers backwards, shaken.

Tickel takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Tickel throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tickel fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Belfort misses with a looping left.

Belfort moves into the clinch successfully.
Belfort gets underhooks to prevent Tickel's takedown attempt.
Belfort is defending well against a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Will Tickel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Belfort creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Belfort wants the takedown. Tickel is fighting it off but Belfort persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Tickel's guard against the cage.

Belfort stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tickel swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Tickel will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Tickel feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

BOOM! Belfort connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Belfort manages to capitalize on a mistake by Tickel to take his back!
Tickel wants to escape the position.
I would not like to be Tickel right now.

Belfort is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Tickel defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Belfort has the hooks in. Tickel is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Belfort has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Tickel has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Belfort is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Belfort gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Belfort gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Belfort apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Bishop tries to clinch up but Dust circles away and keeps his distance.

Bishop has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Bishop feints and then cracks Dust's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dust down.

Bishop throws a leg kick which misses Dust's front leg but catches the back leg as Dust tries to avoid it.
Bishop stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Bishop grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Dust takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Bishop cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
