The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kreese swings for the body but Estella moves out of range.
Estella moves in looking to clinch but Kreese pushes him off. Estella clinches up against the cage. Estella connects with a nasty looking knee right to Kreese's face.
It looks like John Kreese has been cut. Estella unloads a knee to the mid-section. Kreese lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Estella prevents Kreese from breaking the clinch. Estella lands a good knee to the midsection. Kreese won't want to take too many of those. Kreese looks winded! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Estella obliges. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Strauss tries to close the distance and clinch but Prohaska swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Strauss gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Strauss stuffs the takedown. Strauss moves in looking to clinch but Prohaska pushes him off. Prohaska shoots in and gets a takedown into Strauss's guard. Strauss has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Prohaska can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Strauss working a defensive guard here.
Prohaska is in close to Strauss's body, working some short punches and elbows. Strauss looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Prohaska sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Strauss's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Strauss is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Prohaska pulls his head out easily. Prohaska takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Strauss is looking to control Prohaska's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Strauss avoid being mounted? Nice strikes from Prohaska there. Prohaska is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Strauss reverses the position - he's now on top in Prohaska's guard. Strauss trying to control but Prohaska is working from the bottom.

Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Strauss is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Prohaska sees it coming and defends easily. Strauss wants to get back to his feet.

We've been hearing good reports from Strauss's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Prohaska drops an elbow to the side of Strauss's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Strauss tries to close the distance and clinch but Prohaska swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Strauss swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Prohaska scores with a takedown into Strauss's guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Prohaska's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Strauss is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Strauss seems to be looking for submissions.
Strauss seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Prohaska does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Prohaska is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Strauss's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Strauss's back! Strauss is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Green tries to get the hooks in deep but Price pushed the leg off. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murdock lands with a right hand. Jorge throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Murdock's waist but Murdock gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jorge off to one side. Murdock throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Jorge closes this distance looking for a takedown but Murdock circles away. Jorge tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Murdock swivels and escapes. Mike Murdock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tiago Jorge. A telegraphed right hand from Murdock misses the target. Murdock closes the distance and clinches. Jorge has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Murdock regains guard immediately. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ponting missing with a left hand there. Ribera was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Ponting has been working on his balance at McGarrys plant works, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Ribera. Ribera throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Ponting moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Ribera steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ponting. Ribera is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Ponting had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Ponting shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ponting is trying to force a seperation but Ribera has the dominant position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ribera throws a punch but it's blocked by Ponting. Ponting blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Delon has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Delon with a poor takedown and Peltola counters with a lovely straight right hand! Peltola stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Peltola slaps away a takedown attempt from Delon, before circling back to the center of the mat. Peltola tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Delon was well out of range. Poor timing from Peltola. Peltola misses with a right hand and Delon counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Peltola trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
