The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Provenjzano throws a right and a left that Ataides avoids nicely. Provenjzano connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
It looks like Leandro Ataides has been cut. Ataides dives in and scores a takedown into Provenjzano's guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Ataides is in close to Provenjzano's body, working some short punches and elbows. Ataides distracts Provenjzano with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Ataides missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bang shoots in and drives through. Bunga sprawls well. Bang tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Bunga tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bang manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Bang darts in looking for a takedown but Bunga gets double underhooks and turns Bang into the cage. Bunga pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Bang keeps the fight on the outside. Bunga lands a front kick. Bunga fails in his attempt to clinch. Bang shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Bang was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Bunga throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sarabjit darts in trying to clinch and Dent counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Dent throws a low kick but Sarabjit moves out of range easily. Dent misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sarabjit should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Dent, right into the meat.
Sarabjit looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Dent scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Sarabjit has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dent is on top in guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lloyd can do anything to dispel that myth. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Lloyd holds on and takes a little breather. Lloyd can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Machida controls the pace.

16 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Booker McQuade! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mick Gerrard! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McQuade scores with a head kick. Gerrard tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
It looks like Mick Gerrard has been cut. Gerrard walks into a stiff left hand from McQuade. McQuade throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A cross from Gerrard lands. Gerrard keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from McQuade. Gerrard closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McQuade lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Mick Gerrard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McQuade connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Gerrard shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. McQuade defends it nicely. Gerrard's coach down at Synergy Fight Team was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Gerrard's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. McQuade scoring well with a low kick there.
Gerrard blocks a leg kick. A combination from McQuade does no damage. Gerrard lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Gerrard misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from McQuade.
Gerrard fails with a takedown attempt. Gerrard looks to throw the jab but McQuade is out of range. McQuade tries to clinch there but Gerrard circles away.
McQuade swats away the attempt to clinch by Gerrard. Gerrard scores with a punch to the head. McQuade misses with a head kick.
Gerrard moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Gerrard lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
McQuade looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gerrard lands a left and a right that send McQuade crashing to the mat, dazed. Gerrard thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
McQuade is rocked! Gerrard misses with a double jab.
Oh McQuade is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Gerrard misses with a left hand and McQuade connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gerrard shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McQuade as he jumps to the side. Booker McQuade has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mick Gerrard. Gerrard lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - McQuade can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Gerrard and McQuade drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Gerrard.
