The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Out Jr with a lazy takedown attempt and Kowalski counters with a takedown into side control. Out Jr sneaks back into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Out Jr gets back to full guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Velasquez shoots in but no luck this time. Velasquez fails with a takedown attempt. Velasquez scores with a takedown into Kasprzyk's guard. Velasquez has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Velasquez trying to control but Kasprzyk is working from the bottom. Velasquez slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Velasquez looking to pass the guard. Velasquez throwing strikes from guard but Kasprzyk blocks nicely.

Velasquez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kasprzyk swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kasprzyk avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Velasquez thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kasprzyk's head. Kasprzyk looks like he's trying to stand up.
Kasprzyk felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Velasquez thows a huge punch but Kasprzyk dodges it nicely.
Velasquez works his foot free and advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Velasquez landing shots from mount. Velasquez misses with a head shot. Velasquez punching from mount but Kasprzyk doing a good job of avoiding damage. Kasprzyk looks winded! Kasprzyk wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Velasquez.

It looks like Sebastian Kasprzyk has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. BOOM! Velasquez connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Velasquez is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Kasprzyk goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Velasquez!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Han Sun is looking to clinch but Joe is avoiding it.

Joe connects with a nice short shot to Han Sun's temple. Han Sun is still in real trouble! Can Joe finish him? Joe lands a big elbow - Han Sun is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Joe!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rampant can do anything to dispel that myth. Rampant is squirming around, avoiding Uk's attempts to control the action. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Uk prevents Rampant from getting the reversal. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dong Uk dominated that round. The cut man is working on Rick Rampant's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Uk dips down and scores with a jab to the body. An inside leg kick from Rampant misses. Uk throws a body punch but Rampant moves out of range. Rampant shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Uk napping and manages to drive through into side control! Uk is not content to let Rampant control the position. Uk can't do much from the bottom here. Rampant misses with the ground and pound. Uk regains half guard, as Rampant was trying to land strikes.

Rampant has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at ~T~ Troid - Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Rampant lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Rampant wants to lay and pray for a moment but Uk keeps working. Uk is trying to control but can't.
Uk regains full guard. Nicely done. Rampant in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Uk holds on and takes a little breather.

Rampant is looking to pass into half guard but Uk pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Uk is in guard. Rampant looking for a sweep. Not yet Rampant, not yet. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Uk wants to control from the top but Rampant keeps moving. We've been hearing good reports from Uk's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
We're going to have a standup here because Dong Uk wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Rampant takes the fight into the clinch. Rampant is trying to trip Uk. He has hold of a leg but Uk is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Rampant persists though and gets the takedown into guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Uk is trying to control the position but Rampant postures up.

He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Rampant trying to control the position from guard on top but Uk is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rampant throws a big elbow that misses. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Uk lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rampant! Rampant is looking to improve his position but Uk isn't that keen on the idea. Rampant tries to lock up and control but Uk gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

O Brien changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dengel looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Dengel is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on O Brien 's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Dengel keeping control of the position. Dengel is looking for a sweep. O Brien is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Dengel wants to control but O Brien is keeping busy and won't allow it. Cortes has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Donkey misses with a body shot.
Donkey drops his hands momentarily and Cortes takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Donkey throws a push kick but Cortes slaps the foot to one side. Cortes scores with a jab to the jaw. Cortes cracks Donkey with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Donkey throws a leg kick and Cortes counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Donkey throws a poor cross that misses
and Cortes counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Donkey wants to clinch up but Cortes keeps it at a distance.
