The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That kick from Torres tenderised Laprise's leg. Laprise is trying to keep his angry face on.

Laprise shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Torres napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Torres regains half guard.

Laprise looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Laprise is working for a submission of some sort.
Laprise is thwarting Torres's attempts to control the position.

Laprise wants to work for an arm triangle but Torres is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Torres is looking to control Laprise's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Torres avoid being mounted?

Laprise has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Torres is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Laprise is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Torres really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Laprise.

Perrera is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Perrera hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Daedalus has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Daedalus softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Baba is out cold! Daedalus jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
