4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chuck Liddel! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Liddel scores with a nice strike. Liddel misses with a looping right. Liddel lands a head shot.
 It looks like David Deacon has been cut. Deacon is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Deacon throws a hook to the side of Liddel's head but Liddel sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Deacon blocks a head kick by Liddel.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Liddel looks to score with a jab to the body but Deacon is just out of range. We've been informed that Liddel has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Liddel throws a hook to the side of Deacon's head but Deacon sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Liddel misses with a hook. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Liddel. Liddel lands a jab to the nose. Deacon on the wrong end of a nice hook. Liddel throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Deacon had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into p�t�. Deacon takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Deacon throws a sloppy head kick and Liddel moves out of range easily. Liddel will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Liddel might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Deacon, right into the meat.

Deacon stuns Liddel with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Deacon pivots, looking for a leg kick but Liddel is out of range and Deacon settles back down. Deacon waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Liddel. Deacon throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Liddel ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Deacon misses with a hook. Liddel lands a glancing blow to the side of Deacon's head. Deacon connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Liddel's hands. Liddel throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Liddel lands a high kick!

 That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Deacon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Liddel.

Deacon throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Deacon moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Deacon slips under a jab. Liddel pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Deacon back to the cage. Liddel follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Liddel throws a hook but Deacon avoids it easily. This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Deacon might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. Liddel uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Deacon. Deacon throws a lazy right hand but Liddel sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Liddel keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Deacon throws a low kick but it's checked well by Liddel. Liddel connects with a jab. Deacon catches Liddel with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Liddel throws a right and a left that both miss. A nice leg kick lands there from Deacon.

Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Liddel. Deacon takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Liddel pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Deacon tries desperately to hold on but Liddel is relentless in his assault! As Deacon receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Liddel away and this one is in the books!

Hale shoots in for a double leg but Ortiz sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Hale doesn't succeed with the takedown enabling Ortiz to counter with a crisp jab. That's going to take a lot out of him.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stone is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by MacGyver. MacGyver wants to clinch. A solid body kick from MacGyver. Stone throws an uppercut from half a mile away. MacGyver sees it coming and avoids it easily. MacGyver lands with a slapping head kick. MacGyver looks for the body kick but Stone saw that one coming. Stone misses the jab. MacGyver misses with a head kick.
MacGyver throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. MacGyver tries to clinch but fails miserably and Stone counters with a straight right hand.
 It looks like Angus MacGyver has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A frustrated look appears on Stone's face as he tries to break the clinch. Angus MacGyver has scored more points in the clinch so far. MacGyver's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with MacGyver for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. Stone tries a body shot but MacGyver blocks it.

MacGyver is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Stone has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight. Angus MacGyver seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. He's got his arms around Donnelly's waist but Donnelly gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Philippou off to one side. Philippou defending well as Donnelly loads up on a big left hand. Donnelly's jab looks to have found its range, popping Philippou under the eye. Donnelly will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

 Philippou is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Donnelly cracks Philippou on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Philippou falls backwards against the cage. Donnelly follows up with more strikes that drop Philippou to his knees. Donnelly keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Philippou! This one is all over!

A close second round but Rocky Nergal will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Nergal felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Lazanski feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simmons feints and as Pettis raises his hands in defense, Simmons changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Pettis is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Simmons is controlling him. Pettis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Simmons in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Simmons trying to control but Pettis is working from the bottom. Pettis seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Pettis seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Pettis preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pettis controls Simmons momentarily but Simmons frees himself. Simmons gets slowly back to his feet. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Pettis fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Simmons has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pettis stuffs the takedown attempt from Simmons. Simmons gets slowly back to his feet. Horrible takedown by Simmons or perhaps it was just good defense by Pettis which made him look bad. Simmons fails with the takedown. Pettis stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pettis wants it to stay on the feet. Simmons shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Brett Simmons seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pettis connects with a leg kick. Simmons looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Pettis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Simmons's waist but Simmons gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pettis off to one side. Simmons has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Pettis. Pettis lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! No luck with that takedown attempt from Pettis. Simmons chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Pettis can pounce on him.

 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Link Pettis. Simmons with a poor takedown and Pettis counters with a flying knee. Nice. Link Pettis is winning the standup battle so far. Pettis lands a brutal head kick. Simmons looks out on his feet and Pettis throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
