The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stanfield fails in his attempt to clinch. Khan circles away from the clinch attempt.

Khan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Stanfield manages to avoid it. Khan throws a hook to the side of Stanfield's head but Stanfield sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Khan's coach down at Bruize Brothers was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Khan's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. A telegraphed right hand from Stanfield misses the target. Khan lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Stanfield keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Khan. We've been informed that La Ahad has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A clash of legs there as Psi blocks the low kick. Schwetty fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Psi has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Psi looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Schwetty tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Psi was well out of range. Poor timing from Schwetty. Schwetty dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Schwetty has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Psi is landing a low percentage of strikes. Schwetty throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Psi stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Schwetty is looking to slow Psi down with leg kicks. Psi drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Nice shot lands for Schwetty. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Psi uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Schwetty.

Spock was covering up waiting for the punch and Cade finishes the takedown easily into guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cade accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Cade lands a couple of elbows. Cade postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cade throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Spock works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Cade throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Cade looking to sit in guard and control but Spock gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Cade holds on and takes a little breather. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cade's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mister Spock. I think Spock has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wise on the wrong end of a nice hook. Basilan looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Wise scores with a head kick. Basilan tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
