The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcgregor thows a body shot but no joy.

Liang moves into the clinch.
Liang lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Mcgregor is trying to maintain a safe position but Liang gets an underhook and turns Mcgregor into the cage.
Mcgregor seems frustrated at his inability to get double underhooks.
A nice left hand lands by Liang.
Liang is leaning against Mcgregor and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Mcgregor is trying to pull guard but Liang has him pressed against the cage.
Liang lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Mcgregor backwards.
Liang throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Mcgregors head.
Liang blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Liang lands with a left to the head.
Liang is pushing Mcgregor up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Liang pushes Mcgregor back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mcgregor is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Liang digs a right hand into Mcgregor's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Mcgregor's gas tank.

Liang has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head and Mcgregor goes down! Liang dives on top of him - Mcgregor manages to get guard.

It looks like Ewan Mcgregor has been cut.
Liang might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

We've been hearing good reports from Liang's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Coffey feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Eyjs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Eyj throws a head kick but Coffey moves out of range.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gruber dives in for a single leg takedown but Stoned sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

I think Tatov might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Soundgarden - Superunknown. Hug comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Animal I Have Become kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Hades Hug decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

That has opened up Deidara Zetsu's cut even more.

Klice drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Zetsu right on the button. Zetsu goes down! Klice follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Klice gets the win via TKO!
