Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gint Gint! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ruben Misck! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gint will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Gint is looking to clinch but Misck is avoiding it.
Gint fails to land the takedown. Gint takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Misck tries to clinch but Gint moves out of range. Misck will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Misck is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Misck scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Gint with a lazy takedown attempt letting Misck counter with a right hand. Gint takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Ruben Misck seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gint is breathing heavily. Misck closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Misck has had enough of the clinch but Gint keeps him there for the moment. Gint keeps control of Misck as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Gint being controlled against the cage. Misck swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Gint jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Misck walks away with a smile on his face. Gint gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Gint takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Misck jabs Gint to the body, keeping him at a distance. Misck dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

The fight moves into the clinch position. Misck escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gint takes a shot right to the bread basket. Misck fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Misck fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gint keeps the fight on the outside. Gint circles away from the clinch attempt.
Gint takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
It looks like Gint Gint has been cut. Misck connects with a body shot. Misck fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gint sprawls well initially but Misck persists and gets the takedown into half guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Misck trying to control the pace. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nicola Watt! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A momentary lapse in concentration from Watt enables Taki to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Watt manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Watt looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Taki passes Watt's left leg - he's now in half guard. Taki decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Taki dives in and scores a takedown into Watt's guard. Taki thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Watt has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Taki has passed into side control.
Taki working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. We've been hearing that Taki has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Taki tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taki is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Watt has escaped the position, nice work there. Watt is being controlled here. Watt is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Taki has just dragged him back down to the mat. Taki is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Taki is chipping away with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Watt's face as Taki controls the position. Taki has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Taki decides to take the fight back to the feet. Watt's coach down at Titan Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Watt's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Watt shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Taki throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Watt counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Taki keeps the fight on the outside. Taki fails with an attempt to clinch.
Watt tries to clinch up. Watt shoots in and drives through. Taki sprawls well. Taki closes this distance looking for a takedown but Watt circles away. Taki misses with a double jab
and Watt counters with a series of strikes. Taki will be more careful next time no doubt. Watt shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Taki as he jumps to the side. Fujii Taki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nicola Watt. Horrible takedown by Watt or perhaps it was just good defense by Taki which made him look bad.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Both fighters circling a little - Taki finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. No joy there for Taki, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! You can see the frustration on Watt's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
