0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bryce Boswell! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Jonathan Paton and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boswell throws out a loose jab but Jimbei uses good head movement to avoid it. Boswell tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jimbei manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Boswell falls off balance throwing a combination
and Jimbei counters with a takedown into side control. Boswell is trying to control Jimbei's posture but Jimbei avoids it. Jimbei is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Boswell knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. You can see the frustration on Boswell's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Boswell sneaks back into half guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Boswell looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Boswell avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jimbei. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jimbei drops an elbow to the side of Boswell's head. Jimbei content to control rather than advance.

Marcus misses with a leg kick and Barton counters with a slapping leg kick. Marcus throws an overhand right that drops Barton like a sack of potatoes! Marcus dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cunther misses the jab. Cunther has his takedown stuffed and Southland counters with a nice double leg into guard. Southland is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Cunther is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Cunther shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Southland as he jumps to the side. A jab from Cunther misses. Cunther steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Southland. Southland shoots in looking for a takedown. Cunther tries to sprawl out of it but Southland keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cunther manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Southland slips under a jab from Cunther. Southland closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Southland working the head and body with strikes. Cunther is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Southland's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Southland's back! Southland is in a bad position with Cunther working for a choke. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burjanadze throws a series of punches but Rolin moves out of range. Rolin's jab looks to have found its range, popping Burjanadze under the eye. Burjanadze shoots for a takedown but Rolin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jayden Rolin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rolin cracks Burjanadze with an open hand slap. Burjanadze tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Rolin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Burjanadze wants to clinch up but Rolin keeps it at a distance. Rolin walks straight into an uppercut. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Burjanadze is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vitalie Jimbei! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Joseph Jones and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jimbei takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Kong is looking to clinch but Jimbei is avoiding it.
Kong lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Kong looks to land a combination. Jimbei sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Kong lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Jimbei is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jimbei shoots in and bounces Kong off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Jimbei sitting in guard, not really doing much. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jimbei working some strikes from top position. Jimbei has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Jimbei is in close to Kong's body, working some short punches and elbows. It looks like Jimbei might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Jimbei takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Jimbei working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Jimbei performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Kong really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
