The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heads throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and OConnell counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Heads misses with a jab, cross combination.
Heads scores with a one two! OConnell had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
OConnell lands with a thumping leg kick.
OConnell tries to score with a low kick but Heads moves his leg out of the way.
Heads goes for a double leg but OConnell avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as OConnell continues to drive forward.
Heads has had enough of the clinch but OConnell keeps him there for the moment.
Heads wants to break free but OConnell has control.
OConnell keeps control of Heads as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
OConnell will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Heads up against the cage.

OConnell's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Heads throws a right and a left that both miss.
OConnell shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Heads eats them both and turns towards OConnell to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

OConnell lands a big uppercut and Heads crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Heads looks OK. OConnell waves Heads back to his feet!

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gaunov is defended easily by Stamm.
Stamm looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Stamm looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Gaunov has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Stamm is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Gaunov yanks on the arm and Stamm is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Gaunov.

Garcius is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Knight can't fight it off and eventually Garcius manages to take the fight to the floor. Knight looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Helios Garcius overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Garcius wants to control from the top but Knight keeps moving.

Sin jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Herra looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
We've been informed that Herra has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Sin throws a hook but Herra blocks it.
Sin tests Herra's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Herra looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Sin keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Sin avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Herra throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sin's waist but Sin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Herra off to one side.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belfort throws a combination. Vadokowich tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Vadokowich misses with a looping left.
Vadokowich throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Vadokowich misses with an uppercut.
Belfort fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Vadokowich.
Vadokowich connects with a good right hand that stumbles Belfort. Belfort circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

enabling Vadokowich to counter with a crisp jab.
Belfort fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Vadokowich lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Fedor Belfort seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Belfort is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Vadokowich.

Vadokowich stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Belfort closes the distance and clinches up with Vadokowich, looking for a takedown. Belfort pushes Vadokowich against the cage but Vadokowich circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Belfort ducks right into an uppercut from Vadokowich.

and Vadokowich counters with a crisp right hand that drops Belfort! Vadokowich lets Belfort back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Belfort is rocked!
Vadokowich lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Belfort up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Vadokowich from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Belfort's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Vadim Vadokowich!
