Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh MaCue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harold Nevland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harold Nevland told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh MaCue! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Harold Nevland! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! MaCue wants to clinch. Nice takedown defense from MaCue. No joy for Nevland on that attempt. MaCue fails to land with a series of punches.
MaCue drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nevland prevents MaCue from moving into mount. MaCue taking a breather here. MaCue trying to control the action but Nevland is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. MaCue working away. Nevland looks gassed! MaCue wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nevland keeps working. You can see the frustration on Nevland's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Nevland scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. MaCue is looking to escape. Nevland trying to control from MaCue's half guard. MaCue has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Nevland stops MaCue from standing up. MaCue is trying to keep Nevland in close.
MaCue looking for a sweep. Not yet MaCue, not yet. Nevland sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed MaCue's guard. Nevland decides to stand and escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. MaCue misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
MaCue doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Nevland changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. MaCue looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. MaCue pushes Nevland away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Nevland gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. MaCue throws Nevland to one side and escapes! MaCue scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. MaCue seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Nevland does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. MaCue working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Nevland's thigh. Nevland counters though and makes it back to full guard. MaCue tries to stand but Nevland is controlling from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nevland is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Nevland working for a triangle but MaCue defends it easily.
MaCue postures up and lands a big shot to Nevland's brow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Harold Nevland will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Nevland bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Nevland trying to control the position but MaCue is working away. MaCue tries to escape but Nevland is in control. Nevland has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. MaCue tries to clinch but Nevland is having none of it. Nevland connects with a high kick. No joy there for MaCue, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

MaCue could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. MaCue looks to land a combination but Nevland avoids it well. Nevland tries to clinch but MaCue is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. MaCue shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Nevland is trying to defend but MaCue finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. MaCue is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Nevland doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time MaCue. Nevland is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute MaCue jumps into side control! Nevland is looking to reverse the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nevland trying to remain calm as MaCue controls from the top position. MaCue throwing strikes but Nevland manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Nevland is looking to take a break and control but MaCue is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. MaCue gets back to half guard. Nevland seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead MaCue has recovered full guard. MaCue is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Nevland's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Nevland tries to free his leg and advance position but MaCue is retaining full guard. MaCue is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Nevland is controlling him. Nevland stands up and waves to MaCue to follow him. Josh MaCue seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nevland doesn't succeed with the takedown and MaCue counters with a two punch combo.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. MaCue tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nevland paws at him with a jab and circles away. MaCue throws a right and a left that both miss. Nevland closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nevland wants to lay and pray for a moment but MaCue keeps working. Nevland stops MaCue from getting back to his feet.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Nevland in particular looking to stall. Harold Nevland has got the better of the ground game so far. MaCue wants to get back to full guard but Nevland has mounted him! MaCue tries to get back to half guard but can't. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Harold Nevland showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Nevland is on the wrong end of a nice combination from MaCue. MaCue tries to clinch up. MaCue tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Nevland shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and MaCue counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by MaCue. MaCue is trying to stall.

Josh MaCue is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. MaCue keeps the fight on the outside. MaCue shoots and misses and Nevland counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Nevland looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. MaCue wants to get back to his feet.
Nevland stalling away here and it's allowed MaCue to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Nevland prevents MaCue from getting back to his feet. Nevland wants to control from the top but MaCue keeps moving. Nevland looking to sit in guard and control but MaCue gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. MaCue throwing strikes but missing. Nevland wants to sweep here but MaCue controlling him for the moment.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nevland with a poor takedown so MaCue counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. MaCue trying to stand up but can't free himself from Nevland's guard. MaCue passes Nevland's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nevland keeping control of the position. MaCue wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nevland keeps working. Nevland kicks MaCue off and gets back to his feet. MaCue defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Nevland. Josh MaCue has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harold Nevland. Nevland clinches up against the cage. MaCue pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. MaCue has his takedown stuffed and Nevland decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in MaCue's guard. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Nevland. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Nevland keeps MaCue at a distance using the push kick. The crowd cheers as MaCue lands an impressive looking overhand right. Nevland doesn't seem phased though. Nevland throws a half hearted mid kick. MaCue swings for the body but Nevland moves out of range.
MaCue closes the distance looking to clinch and Nevland counters with a nice leg kick. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. MaCue closes the distance looking to clinch and Nevland moves into the clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Harold Nevland. I've got Nevland winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Caval throws out a powerful jab.
It looks like Nathan Roberts has been cut. Roberts closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Caval did well to prevent Roberts getting side control. Caval is looking for a sweep. Roberts is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Caval is looking to control Roberts's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Caval avoid being mounted? Roberts throwing shots but Caval is blocking nicely. Roberts seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Caval does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Roberts wants to pass the guard but Caval is defending well. Roberts missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Roberts is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Caval has eaten all the pies! Roberts works his foot free and advances to mount. Roberts has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Caval is looking to improve his position but Roberts isn't that keen on the idea. Caval is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Caval wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Roberts keeps control of the position as Caval tries to break free.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Caval lands a glancing blow to the side of Roberts's head. Shane Caval seems to be getting the better of the standup. Caval swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Roberts.

Nope, Townsend circles away and we're back to standing. Horrible takedown by Stevenson or perhaps it was just good defense by Townsend which made him look bad. Stevenson goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Stevenson fails with an attempt to clinch.

Townsend tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Stevenson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Stevenson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Townsend moves into range and clinches up with Stevenson. Stevenson tries for a takedown. No joy.

Stevenson wants to control from the top but Townsend keeps moving. Townsend has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Stevenson off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Townsend connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Townsend lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Stevenson can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Townsend and Stevenson drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Townsend.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dada drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dada looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Bato is avoiding damage well.
Dada postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Dada is trying to get an arm triangle but Bato is defending well. Bato managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Dada.
Bato is trying to work for a sweep but Dada has mounted him! Bato might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Dada throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Bato because Dada loaded up on that one. Bato manages to regain half guard. Good work.
