Horrible takedown by Howard or perhaps it was just good defense by Juana which made him look bad.

Starstryder dives in and grabs Wu's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wu pushes down on Starstryder's head and hops out.

Wu is pressed up against the cage. Starstryder has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Wu down to the mat. Wu avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Wu scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Starstryder throws a series of punches but Wu avoids them all with ease.

Starstryder drops his hands momentarily and Wu takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Wu fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Starstryder to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Starstryder looks to clinch but Wu throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Starstryder taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Xin Wu!
After winning the bout, Xin Wu thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

That was a close round but I would say that Daniel Hart will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Daniel Hart.
Well Hart has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
