13 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mike Howard! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Paul Gruel and Jeff Smith.

Horrible takedown by Howard or perhaps it was just good defense by Juana which made him look bad. Howard shoots and misses and Juana counters with a body kick that stops Howard in his tracks momentarily. Howard misses with a takedown attempt - Juana sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Pipe Juana has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Howard. Howard tries for a takedown but Juana circles away easily and Juana counters with a nice leg kick. Howard shoots in looking for a takedown but Juana manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Howard's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Howard gets tackled into the cage by Juana. Juana maintains the clinch. Howard has Juana pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Juana manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Howard is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Juana gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Juana has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Howard clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Howard is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Juana.
Juana is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Juana is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Howard won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Juana off his unconscious opponent!

Wu gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Wu lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Starstryder wants a takedown but no success here.
Starstryder blocks an elbow strike. Starstryder tries for a takedown but Wu manages to get underhooks.
Xin Wu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cosmo Starstryder. Wu gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Wu throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Starstryder tries to work over Wu's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Wu lands an elbow inside that Starstryder shrugs off. Wu lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Starstryder tries to pull guard but Wu forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Wu is pressed up against the cage. Starstryder has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Wu down to the mat. Wu avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Wu scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wu scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Starstryder throws a series of punches but Wu avoids them all with ease.

Wu fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Starstryder to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Starstryder looks to clinch but Wu throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Starstryder taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Xin Wu! After winning the bout, Xin Wu thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

and Norway counters with a crisp right hand that drops Anderson! Norway lets Anderson back up to his feet, looking for a finish! Oh Anderson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Norway stuffs the takedown. Anderson seems to have got his legs back now. Anderson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Anderson is defended easily by Norway. Anderson moves in looking to clinch but Norway pushes him off.

Hart manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Jay on his heels. He'll look to pass Jay's guard now, I'm sure. Jay pulls Hart in close to prevent any damage. Hart throwing strikes from guard but Jay blocks nicely. Hart trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Jay trying to keep a closed guard but Hart is proving a slippery customer.

Hart postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Hart wants to pass the guard but Jay is keeping the position. Jay is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Hart wants to improve his position but Jay is controlling well.

Well, if Jay is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Jay is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hart sees it coming and defends easily. Jay is pressing down on Hart's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hart is holding on for now. Hart makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hart. Jay sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hart's guard.

Hart is trying to maintain the position but Jay is very close to passing his half guard. Jay moves into full mount! Hart won't be happy about that! Jay misses with a head shot. Jay prevents Hart from getting the reversal. Jay breaks from Hart's wrist control and lands an elbow. Hart is looking to improve his position but Jay isn't that keen on the idea. Hart bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Jay trying to control but Hart is working from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jay got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hart has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jay has managed to get both his arms back between Hart's legs - danger averted. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Daniel Hart will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Hart does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Jay defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hart. Hart misses with an attempted mid kick.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hart not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Jay is staying active underneath Hart, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Hart stalling away here and it's allowed Jay to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Jay has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Jay keeping moving, preventing Hart from controlling successfully.

Hart tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Jay rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hart moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Jay stuffs the takedown attempt from Hart. Hart gets slowly back to his feet. Jay throws a head kick but Hart moves out of range.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Hart. Hart tries for a takedown but Jay sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Hart. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Hart moves away and avoids it. Jay throws a sloppy head kick and Hart moves out of range easily. Jay swats away the attempt to clinch by Hart. Hart avoids the head kick by Jay.
Jay throws a head kick that misses. Hart tries a head kick but it misses.
Hart throws a low kick, looking for Jay's leg but Jay calmly moves out of range. Hart tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jay manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Daniel Hart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hart tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jay paws at him with a jab and circles away. A head kick by Jay misses and Hart counters with a low kick, right behind Jay 's knee. Hart throws a leg kick but Jay sees it coming and moves out of range. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jay throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hart avoids the head kick by Jay.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Daniel Hart. Well Hart has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Stoll is pushing Pew up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Pew takes an elbow to the forehead. Stoll is trying to maintain a safe position but Pew gets an underhook and turns Stoll into the cage. Stoll landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Pew really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Pew takes an elbow to the forehead.

Stoll is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Stoll throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Pew blocks it with crossed arms. Daniel Hoench seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rabago dives in and grabs Hoench's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hoench pushes down on Rabago's head and hops out. Hoench swings for the body but Rabago moves out of range.

6 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Giorgio Girardi! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.

Girardi closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Anderson quickly recovers to half guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Girardi missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
