Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wade Chinski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Seymour Ellenbogen! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ellenbogen darts in and clinches Chinski up against the cage. Chinski trying to stall but Ellenbogen improves his position.
Chinski tries to break the clinch but Ellenbogen is controlling the position. Chinski is defending well against a takedown attempt. Chinski manages to break the clinch.
Ellenbogen shoots in and bounces Chinski off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Ellenbogen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chinski swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ellenbogen trying to control the position from guard on top but Chinski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Chinski keeping full guard, as Ellenbogen tries to pass. Chinski thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ellenbogen passes Chinski's left leg - he's now in half guard. Ellenbogen is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Ellenbogen is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Chinski tries to kick Ellenbogen off but Ellenbogen keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Ellenbogen is keen to just control but Chinski is a slippery customer. Ellenbogen tries to pass to full mount but Chinski defends it. Chinski trying to hold on to Ellenbogen's head to control him but Ellenbogen postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ellenbogen controlling the action here. Chinski throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Chinski taking some punishment here, with Ellenbogen in his half guard. Ellenbogen is keen to just control but Chinski is a slippery customer. Chinski trying to hold on to Ellenbogen's head to control him but Ellenbogen postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ellenbogen trying to pass the guard but Chinski defending well. Ellenbogen looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Chinski keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Ellenbogen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chinski tries to avoid it but Ellenbogen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chinski to the ground. Chinski escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Ellenbogen misses with an uppercut. Chinski with a lazy takedown attempt and Ellenbogen decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Chinski's guard. Chinski keeping moving, preventing Ellenbogen from controlling successfully. Ellenbogen missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ellenbogen wants to control from the top but Chinski keeps moving. Ellenbogen is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Ellenbogen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Ellenbogen with a nice head shot there. Chinski wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Ellenbogen manages to pass to side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chinski is looking to improve his position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Chinski is trying to maintain the position but Ellenbogen is very close to passing his half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Seymour Ellenbogen dominated that round. That's time! Chinski's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Chinski has his takedown stuffed and Ellenbogen counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Chinski working for a triangle but Ellenbogen defends it easily.
Seymour Ellenbogen has got the better of the ground game so far. Ellenbogen works over Chinski with some ground and pound from guard. Chinski is looking for a triangle but Ellenbogen pushes his legs off easily.
Ellenbogen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Chinski can't keep his opponent in guard - Ellenbogen advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chinski is staying active underneath Ellenbogen, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Ellenbogen is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Ellenbogen wants to pass the guard but Chinski is defending well. Ellenbogen keeps trying to improve his position. Ellenbogen is working for a submission of some sort.
Chinski is trying to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ellenbogen prevents Chinski from standing back up.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ellenbogen in particular looking to stall. Chinski is looking to control Ellenbogen's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Chinski avoid being mounted? Chinski is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ellenbogen takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Chinski gets caught flat footed, as Ellenbogen shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Ellenbogen wants to control from the top but Chinski keeps moving. Chinski looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Ellenbogen passes into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Chinski blocking the ground and pound attempt from Ellenbogen. Ellenbogen wants to take a breather but Chinski is having none of it. Ellenbogen drops an elbow to the side of Chinski's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chinski moves into full guard.
Ellenbogen lands a couple of digs. Ellenbogen wants to control from the top but Chinski keeps moving. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Chinski working a defensive guard but Ellenbogen manages to pass into side control anyway.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Seymour Ellenbogen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Chinski moves away from the strike by Ellenbogen. Chinski misses with a takedown and Ellenbogen counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Chinski! Ellenbogen landing a few strikes. Ellenbogen working the ground and pound. Chinski is pushing Ellenbogen's head away, looking to escape. Ellenbogen manages to hold on to the position though. Ellenbogen slows the pace down. Chinski gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Chinski avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Ellenbogen.
That's one minute gone in the round. Still in half guard, Ellenbogen seems content to control. Ellenbogen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Chinski keeps working. Chinski wants to get back to full guard but Ellenbogen has passed into side control. Ellenbogen working the head with strikes. Ellenbogen cracks Chinski with an elbow. That is naaassty. Ellenbogen connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Chinski some visible discomfort.
Ellenbogen thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Chinski tries to buck Ellenbogen off but Ellenbogen is having none of it. Seymour Ellenbogen is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chinski manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Ellenbogen is trying to control but can't.
Ellenbogen is controlling Chinski's position as best he can from this difficult position. Chinski sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ellenbogen defending well though. This has been an exciting period of action! Chinski seems to be looking for submissions.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Chinski is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ellenbogen is just riding it out for now. Chinski eventually gives up the hold. Chinski prevents Ellenbogen from improving his position. Ellenbogen trying to control but Chinski postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ellenbogen gets full guard. Ellenbogen wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Chinski wants to control from the top but Ellenbogen keeps moving. Ellenbogen looking to control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Chinski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ellenbogen swivels though and keeps the full guard. Wade Chinski has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Chinski wants to stand but Ellenbogen has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
And that's the end of the fight! Seymour Ellenbogen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Ellenbogen winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
