1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Charlie Roberts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tau Sung! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roberts ducks under a wild hook from Sung. Sung misses with a hook. Sung avoids a punch combination nicely.
Roberts shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sung sprawls well. Sung wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Roberts gets slowly back to his feet. A right-left combo lands from Sung. Roberts fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Sung to the ground. Roberts is now in Sung's guard. Sung looking to hit a scissor sweep but Roberts is one step ahead there. Sung is looking for a triangle but Roberts pushes his legs off easily.
Roberts working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Sung's head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sung working for a triangle but Roberts defends it easily.
Roberts gets to his feet. Sung looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Sung defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Roberts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charlie Roberts. That's going to take a lot out of him. Roberts looking to score a takedown here. Sung is defending well but Roberts drives through and ends up in Sung's guard. Sung looking to control.

Roberts takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Roberts has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Tau Sung is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sung fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Roberts looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Roberts blocks a jab. Horrible takedown by Roberts or perhaps it was just good defense by Sung which made him look bad. Roberts tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sung sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Roberts somewhat. Roberts fails with the takedown. Roberts tries to clinch up but Sung circles away and keeps his distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roberts showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Sung.
Sung lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Roberts changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sung tries to avoid it but Roberts manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sung to the ground. Sung escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Sung cracks Roberts with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. A cross from Sung lands. Roberts takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Sung throws out a loose jab but Roberts uses good head movement to avoid it. Roberts shoots in for a double leg but Sung sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Sung misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Roberts really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Sung stalks Roberts and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Roberts's face. Roberts staggers backwards, shaken. Roberts walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Roberts doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. The crowd cheers as Sung lands an impressive looking overhand right. Roberts doesn't seem phased though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Some wild striking there from Sung.
Roberts misses with an uppercut. Sung throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Roberts on the side of the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Roberts tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Sung defends well and Roberts ends up having to push Sung into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Sung is trying to break the clinch but Roberts is controlling him. Roberts keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Sung's efforts to push away. A short right hand to the side of the head by Sung. Roberts tries to score a body lock takedown but Sung shows good agility there to stay on his feet. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sung manages to break the clinch.
A swing and a miss from Sung. Roberts ducks under a wild hook from Sung. Roberts fails with a takedown attempt from distance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tau Sung dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Sung lands a really nice looking cross but Roberts seems unphased.

and Roberts makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Sung really felt that one! Roberts uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sung. Tau Sung seems to be getting the better of the standup. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Roberts. Roberts shoots in and drives through. Sung sprawls well. Nice uppercut there from Sung. Roberts rushes Sung and presses him up against the cage. Roberts pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Sung waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Roberts. Roberts connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Sung momentarily.
Sung stuffs the takedown attempt from Roberts. Roberts gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charlie Roberts. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sung leaves Roberts with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Roberts keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sung.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roberts looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Sung lands a left and a right that send Roberts crashing to the mat, dazed. Sung thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Roberts is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! and Sung counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Roberts! He's just covering up as Sung starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiroshi Tanaka! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Shimada and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tanaka tries for a takedown but Carr sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Tanaka shoots and misses and Carr counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Carr. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Tanaka not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Tanaka has his foot on Carr's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Carr works his way back into a safe position though. Tanaka throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

The fighters roll with the hold and Tanaka manages to kick Carr off! Carr jumps back into Tanaka's guard. Carr stands and steps away. Tanaka gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Tanaka fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. PJ Carr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hiroshi Tanaka. Carr throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tanaka was covering up waiting for the punch and Carr finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Tanaka tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Carr defends well and Tanaka ends up having to push Carr into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carr tightens his grip and picks Tanaka up, before dumping him to the ground. Tanaka manages to land in guard. Tanaka throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Carr escapes and throws Tanaka's legs to the side, diving into side control! Carr stands up and we're back to a striking position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Carr displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tanaka. Carr looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Tanaka is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Carr defends well. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tanaka working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Carr doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Carr manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steinsson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Steinsson showed some decent athleticism there. Steinsson passes the guard and advances to mount! Burris is trying to escape the mount.
Burris sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Burris is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Steinsson pulls his head out easily. Steinsson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Burris is looking to reverse the position. Burris manages to work his way to half guard, despite Steinsson's best efforts. Steinsson with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Burris regains full guard. Nicely done. Steinsson trying to control the position from guard on top but Burris is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Steinsson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
And that's the end of the fight! Pjetur Steinsson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Steinsson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
