Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Milton Njord! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bobby Blue! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Njord shoots and misses and Blue counters with a lovely straight right hand! Njord gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Blue counters with a stiff right hand. Njord staying out of range there. Blue lands with a straight right. Njord didn't see that one coming. Njord moves out of range of the strikes. Njord shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Blue keeping full guard, as Njord tries to pass. Njord thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Blue wants to sweep but no luck. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Blue has control of Njord's left arm, preventing Njord from doing any damage. Blue wants to sweep here but Njord controlling him for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blue keeping moving, preventing Njord from controlling successfully. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Blue can do anything to dispel that myth.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Milton Njord just wasn't active enough. Blue throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Njord takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Njord takes one on the button. Blue uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Njord has time to react. Bobby Blue seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Njord takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Njord takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Blue throws a series of punches but Njord avoids them all with ease. Blue has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. No luck with that takedown attempt from Njord. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Milton Njord. That's going to take a lot out of him. Donk. Blue catches Njord right on the button with a cross. A decent looking cross lands there for Blue.
Njord is rocked! Njord ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Blue is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Blue lands with a nice body punch. The crowd cheers as Blue lands an impressive looking overhand right. Njord doesn't seem phased though. Oh Njord is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Njord fails with the takedown and Blue scores with a counter punch that sends Njord to the canvas! Blue smells blood - he's punishing Njord with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Njord has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quintoz misses with a body punch
and Lytle holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Quintoz blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Lytle lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Quintoz backwards. Lytle is pressed up against the cage. Quintoz has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lytle down to the mat. Lytle avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Lytle stuffs the takedown attempt from Quintoz. Quintoz gets slowly back to his feet. Lytle moves into the clinch. Lytle misses with the head strike.
A nice right hand lands inside from Lytle. Lytle lands a nice uppercut. Quintoz tries to score a body lock takedown but Lytle shows good agility there to stay on his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lytle lands with a right to the head. Lytle scores with a hook to the body. Lytle swings wildly with an uppercut but Quintoz uses good head movement to avoid it. Lytle lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Quintoz dives in for a single leg takedown but Lytle sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. A head punch on the inside from Lytle fails to land. Lytle working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Quintoz is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Lytle gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. A short uppercut from Lytle. Lytle lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Lytle throws a big uppercut that drops Quintoz! More strikes from Lytle and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Quintoz lies dazed against the cage as Lytle celebrates with his cornermen!
