The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durand tries to clinch but Badel moves out of range.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Durand enables Badel to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Durand manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Badel controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Badel sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Durand's guard.

Badel's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Badel uses his free foot to push down on Durand's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Durand.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Badel takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Badel has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Durand's face.

Durand is desperately trying to improve his position but Badel has a good base and remains in mount.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Durand can do anything to dispel that myth.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Badel cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Durand is rocked!
Badel is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Durand goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Badel!

Morgoslepov lands a left and a right that send Nagy crashing to the mat, dazed. Morgoslepov thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Thomas Nagy has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Morgoslepov slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Nagy takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Morgoslepov lands a brutal head kick. Nagy looks out on his feet and Morgoslepov throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Silva lands a big head kick that sends Howlingate tumbling to the mat! Silva takes a step backwards and waves Howlingate back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Oh Howlingate is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Silva pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Howlingate seems to have got his legs back now.
Silva takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Look low, kick high! Silva uses the oldest trick in the book to send Howlingate tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Silva is absolutely delighted - when Howlingate wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
