The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Luxor takes a swing at Pandarian's ribcage but misses. Pandarian misses with a body shot.
Luxor throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Pandarian sees it coming and avoids it easily. Pandarian is trying hard to land a takedown here. Luxor sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Luxor looks to land a left hand but Pandarian moved out of range nicely. Luxor throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Pandarian bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Luxor tries to escape but Pandarian is in control. Pandarian landing strikes. Pandarian scoring with punches from side control. Pandarian has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Pandarian landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Pandarian cracks Luxor with a big elbow. Luxor knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pandarian on the ground. Pandarian grinds an elbow into Luxor's temple. Luxor wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Pandarian cracks Luxor with an elbow. That is naaassty.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Pandarian looks up at the clock and then as Luxor takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Pandarian smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Luxor tries to escape but Pandarian is in control. Luxor is looking to get back to his feet here but Pandarian is keeping cool and he's managed to take Luxor's back. Luxor is trapped and Pandarian is scoring with shots to the head and body. Luxor is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Luxor is covering up but some of the strikes from Pandarian are getting through and doing damage.
Luxor is trying to stand back up. Luxor is trying to remain composed but Pandarian is hammering down strikes to the side of his head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but John Pandarian will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

The referee takes a look at Luxor to see if he's OK. Luxor wants to get back to his feet. John Pandarian has got the better of the ground game so far. Pandarian landing a few strikes. Luxor takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Luxor wants to get back to his feet but Pandarian drags him back down.

Pandarian has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Luxor is pushing Pandarian's head away, looking to escape. Pandarian manages to hold on to the position though. Pandarian in side control lands a decent elbow. Luxor takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Pandarian cracks Luxor with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Pandarian immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Luxor is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Pandarian!

Heyman looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Ozolins looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Heyman is doing well to control the position and prevent Ozolins from advancing to side control. Ozolins sitting and controlling from the half guard. Heyman wants to get back to full guard. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Ozolins is breathing heavily. Heyman is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Heyman throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Good exchange - Heyman coming out on top. Heyman looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Heyman scores with a spinning back kick! A head kick misses from Heyman. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ozolins takes a kick to the side of the head. Ozolins looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Heyman scores with a leg kick.

Heyman thumps Ozolins with a low kick. Heyman lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Heyman throws a sloppy head kick and Ozolins moves out of range easily. The fighters circle, before Heyman throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Ozolins's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Heyman lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pereira waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Muzi. A looping hook to the body misses from Pereira. Muzi does a little dance to reset his feet. Pereira throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Muzi takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Diego Pereira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Muzi slips a jab from Pereira. A combination from Pereira does no damage. Pereira lands a left and a right that send Muzi crashing to the mat, dazed. Pereira thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Carlos Muzi has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Muzi drops his hands momentarily. Pereira doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Muzi staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Muzi doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

It looks like Ji Lu has been cut. Nice straight punches there by Taymazov. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Taymazov. A slow jab from Taymazov misses its intended target. Lu feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Taymazov trying to control the position.

Jedan has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Jedan throws a looping overhand right but Martinez ducks down to avoid it. Martinez shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Jedan scores with a hook to the body. Martinez takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

The crowd cheers as Jedan lands an impressive looking overhand right. Martinez doesn't seem phased though. Jedan connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Martinez's hands. Martinez slips under a jab from Jedan. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Nister swings and misses with a shot to the body and Aldarov counters with a lovely straight right hand! No luck with that takedown attempt from Nister. A momentary lapse in concentration from Aldarov enables Nister to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Aldarov manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Nister throws a big right hand that misses. Aldarov keeping moving, preventing Nister from controlling successfully. Aldarov working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Nister. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nister trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Nister is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Nister looking to sit in guard and control but Aldarov gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nister keeping moving, preventing Aldarov from controlling successfully. Nister has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Aldarov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Nister not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Nister pulls Aldarov in close to prevent any damage. Aldarov sitting in guard here, content to control. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nister shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Aldarov but Aldarov pushes him off and we're back to square one. Nister closes this distance looking for a takedown but Aldarov circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sammel Nister. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nister walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

The fighters circle momentarily. Aldarov darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Maharbek Aldarov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Aldarov walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Nister drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Aldarov swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Nister's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

That was a close round but I would say that Krisn Khan will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Wes Good's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
