2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Camron Jackson! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Reed Andrews and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Simpson.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jackson, as that shot connected.
Jackson throws a right and a left that Simpson avoids nicely. Simpson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Simpson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Simpson wants to control the pace but Jackson is squirming around nicely. Simpson goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Jackson turns into him and now he's in Simpson's guard.

Jackson wanted to stand there but Simpson had control of the position. Simpson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jackson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Jackson is looking to stand up but Simpson won't let him. Simpson throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Urijah Faber had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hernandez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lionel.
Hernandez tries for a takedown but Lionel sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Hernandez thumps Lionel with a low kick. Lionel throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hernandez's waist but Hernandez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lionel off to one side. Hernandez scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Hernandez is looking to land body kicks. Lionel throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Hernandez moves into the clinch. Lionel has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Lionel is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hernandez gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. The ref is looking closely - Lionel is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Lionel is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rowe changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Myers tries to avoid it but Rowe manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Myers to the ground. Myers escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Myers shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Myers was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Rowe slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Rowe has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Myers is working away from the top position though. Myers stands up out of the half guard. Myers changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rowe looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Rowe tries to strike from the bottom but misses. Rowe sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Myers looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ross throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Vasher steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ross. Vasher throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Vasher doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Vasher misses with a head kick.
Ross connects with a crisp jab. Ross throws a lazy right hand but Vasher sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Vasher pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Ross has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Vasher finds it's way round the side to connect with Ross's head. Vasher wants to clinch. Vasher keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ross. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! A jab from Ross misses. Ross shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Vasher is trying to defend but Ross finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Ross has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Vasher avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Ross.

Jackson moves away from the strike by Luc. Jackson throws a body punch but Luc moves out of range. Jackson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Jackson needs to keep his hands up - Luc had a free shot at his head there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Luc shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Jackson counters with a single leg into guard. Luc didn't expect that.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Jackson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Luc trying to keep a closed guard but Jackson is proving a slippery customer.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Luc is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Luc is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jackson is just riding it out for now. Luc eventually gives up the hold. Jackson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Luc is working for a submission of some sort.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fighters circling - Laden throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Staples throws a nice looking combination but Laden bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. The crowd cheers as Staples lands an impressive looking overhand right. Laden doesn't seem phased though. Staples cracks Laden with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Staples is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Mitch Staples seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Staples is looking to clinch. Staples moves in looking to clinch but Laden pushes him off.
