Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Duncan Macgregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brown Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: crazy bitch. Brown Wilson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

11 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Brown Wilson! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Wilson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Macgregor's coaches at >TAPOUT ELITE< have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Wilson passes to full mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Macgregor is wriggling around trying to escape.
Wilson with shots to the head and body - Macgregor looks very uncomfortable down there. Macgregor in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Macgregor taking shots to the head. Macgregor tries to get back to half guard but can't. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wilson controlling the position easily from mount. Macgregor tries to free his leg and advance position but Wilson is retaining full guard. Wilson wants to stand and escape but Macgregor is having none of it. Wilson wants to sweep but no luck. Macgregor drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Wilson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Macgregor has Wilson in his guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wilson working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Macgregor's head. Macgregor keeping moving, preventing Wilson from controlling successfully. Macgregor working for a triangle but Wilson defends it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wilson sitting in guard, not really doing much. Macgregor is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wilson defends well. Wilson is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Macgregor looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Wilson is in close to Macgregor's body, working some short punches and elbows. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Wilson distracts Macgregor with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Macgregor throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Wilson escapes and throws Macgregor's legs to the side, diving into side control! Macgregor is working to avoid the ground and pound but Wilson connects with a decent elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brown Wilson dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Macgregor is looking to clinch. Macgregor misses with a takedown attempt - Wilson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Wilson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Macgregor looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Wilson in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Wilson is putting a hurting on Macgregor here, landing some big shots from side control. Wilson landing strikes. Wilson tries to score with some ground and pound. Macgregor controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Macgregor gets back to half guard. Wilson wants to take a breather but Macgregor is having none of it. Macgregor actively working from the bottom here. Wilson is trying to control. Macgregor wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Macgregor looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wilson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's one minute gone in the round. Macgregor is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Wilson pulls his head out easily. Wilson not landing any meaningful shots this time. Wilson lands strikes from half guard. Macgregor is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Wilson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Wilson's back! Wilson defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard. Wilson wants to control from the top but Macgregor keeps moving. Wilson is looking to work some ground and pound but Macgregor has wrist control. Macgregor looking for a triangle here. Wilson is fighting it but it looks tight! Macgregor pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Wilson is tapping out - this one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ataides scores to the head and body with a nice combination! We've been hearing reports that Ataides has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Leandro Ataides seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hassan explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Ataides takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hassan takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Hassan dives in for a single leg takedown but Ataides sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Ataides working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Ataides lands a shot to the body. Ataides lands a hook that snaps the head of Hassan backwards. Ataides lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Ataides. Hassan looks winded! Ataides softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Ataides keeps control of Hassan as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. A short left from Ataides. Ataides works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Ataides lands a body punch in the clinch. A shot in the inside from Ataides. Ataides works on Hassan's body with a couple of short punches. Ataides lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Hassan should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Ataides lands a hook to the side of the head.
Hassan is rocked! Ataides tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Ataides's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Ataides working some nice short punches in the clinch. Hassan is still on wobbly legs! Can Ataides finish him? Hassan blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Hassan seems to have recovered his senses. Nice body punch from Ataides - that landed with a thud.
Hassan tries to circle away but Ataides has him pinned against the cage. A nice left hand lands by Ataides.
Ataides lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Hassan to his knees! Ataides keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reigns connects with a body shot. Maure tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A punch lands to the side of Maure 's head but he takes it in his stride. Reigns misses with a body shot.

Maure throws the kick towards the body but Reigns avoids it. Maure showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Reigns.
Reigns avoids the body shot from Maure.
Maure has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Maure there as he acknowledges the shot. Maure tries to clinch but Reigns is having none of it. Maure needs to keep his hands up - Reigns had a free shot at his head there. Maure avoids a punch combination nicely.
Reigns thows a body shot but no joy. Reigns feints a jab promting Maure to slip. Reigns then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Maure slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Dan Maure has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! That kick from Maure tenderised Reigns's leg. Reigns is trying to keep his angry face on. Maure tries to clinch there but Reigns circles away.

Maure dives in for a single leg takedown but Reigns sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Reigns's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Reigns misses with a jab, cross combination.
Reigns lands a jab to Maure's midsection. Reigns misses with a series of wild punches.
Maure wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Maure wants to clinch up but Reigns keeps it at a distance. Maure tries to clinch but Reigns is having none of it. Maure moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Maure has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Maure connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Maure tried to score with a low kick but Reigns checks it. Reigns misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Maure walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Reigns moves out of range as Maure strikes. Maure fails in his attempt to clinch. Reigns pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Maure back to the cage. Reigns follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Reigns looks to score with a jab to the body but Maure is just out of range. Reigns waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Maure. Maure tries to clinch but Reigns moves out of range. Reigns lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Maure is rocked! Maure shoots in but Reigns avoids the takedown attempt easily. Maure is still on wobbly legs! Can Reigns finish him? Reigns keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

I was talking to Reigns's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Maure is trying to pull guard but Reigns has him pressed against the cage. Reigns is pressed up against the cage. Maure has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Reigns down to the mat. Reigns avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Maure scores with a shot to the body.
Maure tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Reigns paws at him with a jab and circles away. Reigns slips a straight right by Maure. Reigns looks to land a combination but Maure avoids it well. Reigns throws a right hand that Maure ducks under and follows up with a left that Maure also avoids with ease. Maure fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Reigns. Reigns is breathing heavily. Maure fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Reigns avoids it really well and circles away. Maure takes a shot to the body in his stride.

That's better than Maure was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. An elbow from Maure crashes against the mat.
Maure scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Reigns to see if he's OK. Reigns knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Maure on the ground. Reigns is trying to buck Maure off. Maure has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Maure wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Reigns, who protects the arm well. Maure thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Maure has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Dan Maure will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Dan Maure's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Daugavins throws an overhand right that lands on Mustang's shoulder, as Mustang tries to avoid the shot. Mustang works over Daugavins's head and body with a nice combination.
It looks like Kaspars Daugavins has been cut. Daugavins misses with a few strikes there.
Mustang throws a series of punches but Daugavins avoids them all with ease. Mustang scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Mustang has taken the fight to the clinch.
Mustang goes for a takedown attempt but Daugavins pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Mustang slips a jab from Daugavins. Mustang misses with a takedown attempt and Daugavins cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Daugavins throws a jab when Mustang was well out of range. This has been an exciting period of action! Mustang misses with a few strikes there.
Good standup being displayed there by Mustang as he connects with a hook. Mustang blocks a jab. Mustang displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Daugavins. Mustang clinches up with Daugavins and pushes him back against the cage. Daugavins has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Mustang after a bit of a struggle. Our sources have told us that Mustang has been working on his elbows in the gym.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daugavins pulls guard effortlessly. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Daugavins working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mustang doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mustang manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Mustang trying to control the position from guard on top but Daugavins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mustang trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Mustang throwing strikes but missing. Daugavins throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Mustang is really struggling to control Daugavins but he's trying to hold on to the position. Daugavins told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Cormeir has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Butts leaves Cormeir with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Cormeir takes one on the button. Cormeir clinches. Cormeir is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Butts gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Butts is looking to break free of the clinch but Cormeir has double underhooks.
