The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Percy drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Biff is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Percy's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Biff looking for submissions off his back. Biff looking for subs from the bottom but Percy mounts him! Percy avoids the attempt from Biff to control. Biff working to try and regain half guard.
Biff wants to control but Percy is having none of it.

We're going to have a standup here because Sebastian Biff wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Percy tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Biff manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Percy connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Biff shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Percy as he jumps to the side. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! No luck with that takedown attempt from Biff. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sebastian Biff. That's going to take a lot out of him. Biff looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Percy gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Percy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Sebastian Biff overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Biff wants to lay and pray for a moment but Percy keeps working. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Percy fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Biff looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Percy shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Biff napping and manages to drive through into side control! Biff is looking to reverse the position. Biff is letting Percy control him for a moment. Percy working away.
