Nadeau stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smart swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Nadeau passes Smart's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Nadeau is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Nadeau tries to pass to full mount but Smart defends it.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Nadeau throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Nadeau connects with a nice short shot to Smart's temple.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Nadeau is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Smart to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Smart shrugs it off.
BOOM! Nadeau connects with a massive shot to the dome!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Smart really wants to buck Nadeau off and get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Nadeau digs a good hook to Smart's body.

Nadeau waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Smart. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Smart to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

Smart stalling in the clinch but Nadeau improves position.

Nadeau gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Nadeau works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Nadeau in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Smart tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Nadeau!
