0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, David Zound! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Chris Saunders and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zound thuds a left hand into Mikke's body. Mikke changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Zound looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Zound sneaks back into half guard. Zound has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mikke is working away from the top position though. Zound avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Mikke. Mikke lands strikes from half guard. Mikke looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Zound trying to control from the bottom.
Mikke is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mikke working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Zound's thigh. Zound counters though and makes it back to full guard. Mikke distracts Zound with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Mikke scoring with punches to the head and body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mikke trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Mikke is looking to work some ground and pound but Zound has wrist control. Mikke has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Mikke trying to control but Zound is working from the bottom. Mikke throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Mikke makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Mikke in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Zound escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mikke gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Mikke missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Mikke is looking to work some ground and pound but Zound has wrist control. Mikke throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Zound is trying to control the position but Mikke postures up. Mikke throwing strikes from guard but Zound blocks nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zound manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mikke manages to get himself to full guard.

Zound trying to control the position from guard on top but Mikke is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Zound stopping the sweep attempt from Mikke. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Zound throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mikke works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Mikke is trying to control the position but Zound postures up. Mikke is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Mikke wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Zound is now in half guard.

Mikke knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zound on the ground. Zound is working for a submission of some sort.
Mikke on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mikke tries to get out of the position. Mikke is trying to stand up here but Zound is controlling him well. Mikke wants to get back to full guard. Zound missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Mikke moves into full guard.
Mikke can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Zound controls the pace. Mikke wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Mikke has control of Zound's left arm, preventing Zound from doing any damage. Mikke looking for a sweep. Not yet Mikke, not yet. Mikke pulls Zound in close to his closed guard and prevents Zound from doing any damage or advancing position.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Christopher Mikke wasn't doing enough on the ground. Mikke is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Zound. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Zound misses with a wild combination.
Mikke tries to score a power double leg takedown but Zound sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mikke somewhat. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Zound scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Mikke doesn't seem bothered though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Christopher Mikke dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Mikke takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Zound stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Zound wants it to stay on the feet. Zound is looking to clinch. Zound shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Mikke eats them both and turns towards Zound to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Zound keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Zound throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mikke. Zound lands with an uppercut that bounces Mikke off the cage and back into range.
Mikke is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Zound knocks out Mikke with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Zound before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Zound picks up the big W with a huge KO!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ocean has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Rolland defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ocean. Ocean closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rolland to the mat! Rolland manages to get full guard. Ocean could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Ocean prevents Rolland from getting back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rolland working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ocean. Ocean lands a couple of decent looking shots. Ocean throws a big right hand that misses. Ocean throwing strikes but missing. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Darion with a poor takedown and Tully counters with a crisp one two that drops Darion! Tully thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Darion to his feet! Darion is in big trouble!
Darion is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Darion has his takedown stuffed and Tully counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Darion out cold! What a finish! Tully is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Nush Tully! In his post fight interview, Nush Tully gave a big smile as he said 'That is what happens kid... I am the bitch of boom. Boom Bitch Boom.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ramsey fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Ramsey shoots in for a takedown but Rex shows good takedown defense. Ramsey shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Johnie Rex has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gerrard Ramsey. Ramsey shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rex but Rex pushes him off and we're back to square one. Ramsey shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rex pinned against the cage. Rex gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Rex tries a head kick but it misses.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rex is defended easily by Ramsey. Ramsey throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rex's waist but Rex gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ramsey off to one side. Rex drops Ramsey with a left right combo! Rex follows him down to the ground into side control.

It looks like Gerrard Ramsey has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Rex throwing shots but missing, from side control. Ramsey is still in real trouble! Can Rex finish him? Check out the look on Rex's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
That's one minute gone in the round. Rex is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ramsey has escaped the position, nice work there. Ramsey seems to have recovered his senses. Ramsey looks winded! Rex throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Rex sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Ramsey is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rex staying calm. Ramsey manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ramsey throws a strike but Rex avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Rex escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ramsey gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ramsey content to stall in guard here. Rex manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ramsey manages to get himself to full guard.

Ramsey is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ramsey had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rex defends it easily. Ramsey keeping moving, preventing Rex from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ramsey wants to control from the top but Rex keeps moving. Rex is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Rex seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ramsey does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rex can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Rex trying to control but Ramsey is working from the bottom. Rex slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Rex trying to control the action but Ramsey is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rex throws a strike aimed at the side of Ramsey's head but Ramsey avoids it well. Rex tries to stand but Ramsey is controlling his head. Rex working away. Rex is looking to take a break and control but Ramsey is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. You can see the frustration on Ramsey's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johnie Rex is winning the standup battle so far. Ramsey shoots in and drives through. Rex sprawls well. Ramsey dives in for a single leg takedown but Rex sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. A battle for position here, against the cage. Rex tries to pull guard but Ramsey holds him up against the cage and eventually Rex drops back down to his feet.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Troy can do anything to dispel that myth.

Troy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nuke. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nuke moves out of range of the strikes. Nuke walks forward, straight into a front kick from Troy. Troy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Troy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nuke. Troy throws a half hearted mid kick. Troy fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Nuke to the ground. Troy is now in Nuke's guard. Nuke managing to control the position. Troy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nuke swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Troy being controlled here momentarily. Troy pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Nuke is keeping the position for now. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Nuke controlling the position.
We're going to have a standup here because Jared Nuke wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Troy. Troy shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nuke sprawls well. Nuke wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Troy gets slowly back to his feet. Troy fails with a takedown attempt. Jared Nuke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Troy. Troy takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Troy throws a sloppy head kick and Nuke moves out of range easily. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Troy is defended easily by Nuke. Nuke throws a leg kick but Troy sees it coming and moves out of range. Brian Troy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Troy with a lazy takedown attempt so Nuke counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Nuke content to stall in guard here. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nuke stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Troy swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jared Nuke wasn't doing enough on the ground. Troy misses with a takedown attempt and Nuke counters with a single leg into guard. Troy didn't expect that. Nuke trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Nuke will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Nuke missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Nuke landing with the ground and pound. Nuke not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nuke makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Troy being controlled here, momentarily. Nuke loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nuke showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Brian Troy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
And that's the end of the fight! Jared Nuke showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nuke, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
