The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hudson clinches up with Bang and pushes him back against the cage.
Bang is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hudson pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Hudson breaks the clinch.

Bang shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Hudson working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Bang has passed into half guard!

Hudson felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Bang is cranking Hudson's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Hudson! He's tightened the choke and Hudson is tapping out!

Walker sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

That was a close round but I would say that Jimmy Walker will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Hopes misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hopes has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Walker is landing a low percentage of strikes.

It looks like Jimmy Walker has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Walker avoids the head kick by Hopes.
Oh Walker is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hopes lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Walker head around and knocks him out cold! Hopes hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
