The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barbra will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Barbra tries for a takedown but Lakay Ii circles away easily and Lakay Ii counters with a slapping leg kick. Barbra shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Lakay Ii counters with a nice leg kick. We've been hearing reports that Lakay Ii has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. JD Lakay Ii has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dale Barbra. Barbra closes the distance but Lakay Ii moves to the side and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Lakay Ii throws a low kick but it's checked well by Barbra. Barbra fails in his attempt to clinch. A head kick misses from Barbra. Barbra blocks a head kick by Lakay Ii.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Barbra is working for takedown but Lakay Ii is calmly controlling the position for now. No joy there for Barbra, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lakay Ii throws a series of punches but Barbra moves out of range. Dale Barbra has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lakay Ii throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Christmas throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Schmo sees it coming and avoids it easily. Schmo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Christmas throws a jab when Schmo was well out of range. Schmo throws a jab when Christmas was well out of range. Christmas dips to his left and cracks Schmo with an uppercut! Schmo sizes up Christmas with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Christmas looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Schmo looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Schmo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Christmas moves away. Schmo stuns Christmas with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Schmo moves out of range of the strikes. Christmas walks into a jab. This has been an exciting period of action! Schmo lands a jab. Christmas closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Christmas wants to clinch up but Schmo keeps it at a distance. Christmas on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Christmas is rocked! Schmo lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Christmas goes down and covers up as Schmo starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!

Lee tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rollins is in Lee's guard. Lee looking to control.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Contemprato lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. A slow jab from Contemprato misses its intended target. Contemprato lands with a nice body punch. Contemprato throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Contemprato fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Leeroy has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Contemprato connects with a crisp jab. Contemprato lands a slapping body shot.
Leeroy takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Leeroy slips a straight right by Contemprato. Leeroy tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Contemprato is able to avoid easily. Leeroy attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Leeroy digs a good hook to Contemprato's body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Contemprato throws a body punch but Leeroy moves out of range. Contemprato tries to clinch but Leeroy moves out of range. The fight moves into the clinch position. Contemprato throws a punch but it's blocked by Leeroy. Leeroy misses with a body punch.
Contemprato's coach down at ~T~ Troid - Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Contemprato's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Leeroy lands a right hand that snaps the head of Contemprato backwards. Contemprato lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Leeroy or not. Leeroy throws a punch but it's blocked by Contemprato. A short right hand to the side of the head by Contemprato.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leeroy lands with a light punch inside. Leeroy drags the fight down to the ground.
Contemprato has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Leeroy is proving hard to escape from. Leeroy looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Contemprato puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Contemprato decides to stand up. Leeroy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Contemprato connects with a leg kick. Leeroy looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Leeroy missing with a left hand there. Contemprato was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Contemprato ducks down and throws a hook to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A looping hook to the body misses from Leeroy. Contemprato does a little dance to reset his feet. Good exchange - Contemprato coming out on top. Leeroy bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Contemprato's head.
It looks like Noel Contemprato has been cut. Leeroy is looking to chop away at Contemprato's legs. Nice defenses there by Contemprato. A telegraphed right hand from Leeroy misses the target. Leeroy slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. A clash of legs there as Contemprato blocks the low kick. Leeroy catches Contemprato with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Contemprato fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Leeroy manages to avoid it. Leeroy throws out a loose jab but Contemprato uses good head movement to avoid it. Contemprato lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Leeroy's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Contemprato connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Leeroy scrambles back to his feet. Contemprato connects with a good right hand that stumbles Leeroy. Leeroy circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Leeroy is rocked! Contemprato lands a nice hook to Leeroy's body. Leeroy takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Oh Leeroy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Leeroy switches off momentarily and Contemprato cracks him with a monster right hand! Leeroy topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Contemprato dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Contemprato!
