Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Satoshi Ishii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zongtang Tso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Satoshi Ishii! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Zongtang Tso! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tso slips under a jab. Tso has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Ishii is landing a low percentage of strikes. Ishii shoots in for a takedown but Tso shows good takedown defense. Tso scores with a sloppy right hand. Ishii should have avoided that one.
It looks like Satoshi Ishii has been cut. Ishii definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Ishii looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tso is fending him off so far but Ishii persists. Nope, Tso circles away and we're back to standing. Ishii misses the shot to the body. Ishii scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Tso throws a head kick but Ishii moves out of range.
Ishii darts in looking for a takedown but Tso gets double underhooks and turns Ishii into the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Satoshi Ishii. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ishii pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Tso ducks under a wild hook from Ishii. Ishii checks a leg kick. Ishii closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tso circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice body kick from Tso. Tso throws a front kick aimed at Ishii's knee but Ishii avoids it well. Tso wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Ishii misses with a straight left. Tso connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Tso takes a body punch but keeps moving. Tso avoids the body shot from Ishii.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ishii scores with a takedown into Tso's guard. Ishii has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Ishii throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tso works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Ishii throws a big elbow that misses. Ishii might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tso trying to keep a closed guard but Ishii is proving a slippery customer.
Ishii pushing down on Tso's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Tso has hold of Ishii's hands but Ishii slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Tso works his way to full guard. Good work. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tso is on top in guard.

Tso throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ishii works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Tso throwing strikes but missing. Ishii is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Satoshi Ishii wasn't doing enough on the ground. Tso slips a jab from Ishii. Ishii staying out of range there. Ishii gets a takedown into half guard. Tso is looking to improve his position.
Tso works his way to full guard. Good work. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ishii pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tso is keeping the position for now. Ishii lands a couple of digs. Tso lands a jab to Ishii's midsection. Ishii throws a big shot that misses. Zongtang Tso seems to be getting the better of the standup. Ishii tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tso swivels and escapes. Ishii throws a looping overhand right but Tso ducks down to avoid it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tso throws a wild body kick that Ishii sees coming a mile off. Tso fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Tso looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Satoshi Ishii seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ishii throws a shot from downtown. Tso moves away and avoids it. Tso swings for the body but Ishii moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tso does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Ishii lunges at Tso with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Tso's hand. Ishii throws a head kick but Tso moves out of range.
Tso tried to score with a low kick but Ishii checks it. Tso misses with a straight right. Ishii throws a hook but Tso blocks it. Ishii checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Tso moves out of range of the strikes. Ishii misses with a looping right.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ishii shoots for a double leg takedown but Tso sprawls well. He's pushed Ishii's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Ishii stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Tso. Tso avoids the body shot from Ishii.
Tso misses with a straight left. Tso defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ishii. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Satoshi Ishii. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ishii scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Tso doesn't seem bothered though. Ishii is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Tso's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Ishii misses with a straight left. Tso goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Excellent takedown into side control there by Ishii. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tso wants to control but Ishii postures up.

Ishii looking to control but instead Tso has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Ishii passes to full mount! Tso gets back to half guard. Ishii not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ishii not landing any meaningful shots this time. Tso has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ishii drops an elbow to the side of Tso's head. Tso regains full guard. Nicely done. Tso looking to sweep here. No luck so far. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tso is trying to control the position but Ishii postures up. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Tso wants to sweep but no luck. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zongtang Tso showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Satoshi Ishii's cut. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Ishii is looking to take a break and control but Tso is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ishii misses with a head shot. Tso uses the momentum to regain guard. Ishii preventing the sweep. Tso looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ishii works over Tso with some ground and pound from guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ishii with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Tso looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ishii is one step ahead there. Tso lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Ishii! Ishii holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Tso tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Tso unloads with some shots from mount but Ishii bucks and avoids them well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tso thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Ishii on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ishii tries to get out of the position. Ishii is trying to escape the mount.
Tso throws some wild stikes that Ishii manages to avoid easily.

Tso has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ishii's face.
Ishii is desperately trying to improve his position but Tso has a good base and remains in mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tso throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Ishii because Tso loaded up on that one.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ishii gets back to half guard. Ishii tries to roll over but Tso keeps him under control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ishii preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Ishii keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tso throwing shots but Ishii is blocking nicely. Ishii blocking the ground and pound attempt from Tso.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Satoshi Ishii. I think Tso has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Razin throws a jab when Ee was well out of range. Ee avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Razin keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ee takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Ee takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
It looks like Eeazy Ee has been cut. Ee digs a good hook to Razin's body.

Ee misses with a hook. Razin ducked under it nicely. Razin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ee circles away quickly and effectively. Ee pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ee scores with the left hand. Razin knows he should have avoided that one. A kick lands to the mid section there for Ee. Razin moves into the clinch successfully.
I was talking to Razin's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Razin tries to land knees in the clinch but Ee avoids the damage to the body. Ee wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Razin manages to pull guard.
Razin keeping moving, preventing Ee from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Razin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ee is one step ahead there. Razin working for a triangle but Ee defends it easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Razin is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Ee has his hands clasped together but Razin extends and breaks Ee's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Razin.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Stepan Razin! As Stepan Razin got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: I am better striker in tournament! I am soon champion!'.
