Lyle gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Kawasati rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ely moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Both fighters circling a little - Kawasati finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ely dives in and grabs Kawasati's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kawasati pushes down on Ely's head and hops out.
Kawasati lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Ely backs up against the cage.
Kawasati throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ely.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Ely crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kawasati - the referee stops the clock and Ely gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kawasati. Ely manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Ely chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kawasati can pounce on him.
Kawasati stalks Ely and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Ely's face. Ely staggers backwards, shaken.

Ely closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Ely wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kawasati, who protects the arm well.

Ely goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Kawasati has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Ely but great work by Kawasati.
