15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Juhani Vihervuori! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 13 - 3, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mauricio Silva! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva misses with a looping right. Silva scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Silva throws a lazy head kick and Silva takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Vihervuori throws a body shot but no joy. Silva wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Vihervuori sizes up Silva with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Silva changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Silva has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Vihervuori fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Silva. Vihervuori tries to clinch up. A looping hook to the body misses from Vihervuori. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rommel doesn't succeed with the takedown and Materla counters with a takedown into side control. Rommel tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Materla wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Materla tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Rommel is trying to improve his position. Rommel is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Materla asserts his dominance and retains side control. Rommel has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Rommel tries to improve position but can't. Materla thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Materla works to advance to full mount. Rommel defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Materla is trying to maintain the position but Rommel is very close to passing his half guard. Materla is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rommel's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rommel's back! Rommel is trying to get back to his feet but Materla has full control of the position and if anything, Rommel has just worked his way into a worse spot. Materla is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Materla is looking to get back to full guard here but Rommel has managed to pass to side control instead. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rommel has knee on belly and moves into mount. Rommel has control of Materla's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Materla regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Slobo Berganovic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Berganovic cracks Gutzeit with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Gutzeit tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Berganovic pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Gutzeit is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Bracha's coach down at Soul Supremacy Fight Club - ELITE TRAINERS----$580 was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Bracha's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Bracha misses with a low kick. Zsorats pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Zsorats looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Bracha is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Bracha wants to stand and escape but Zsorats is having none of it. Zsorats controls from within his opponent's guard. Zsorats's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Savage gets caught flat footed, as Jeong shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Jeong trying to control the position from guard on top but Savage is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jeong working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Jeong throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Savage looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jeong is one step ahead there. Savage is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jeong accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Jeong with a flurry of punches that miss.
