The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie tries to pull guard but Lannister won't allow it.
We've been informed that Lannister has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Lannister pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Gracie moves out of range as Lannister throws a body kick.
Lannister throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Gracie on the side of the head.

Gracie manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lannister on his heels. He'll look to pass Lannister's guard now, I'm sure.
Gracie definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Alvarez lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Alvarez celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
