Gorfal walks straight into a right hand from Mazloum - that's dropped him! Mazloum jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Gorfal from any more punishment! Gorfal complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

and DeLaurier counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
DeLaurier controls from within his opponent's guard.
DeLaurier working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Lewis's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lewis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

DeLaurier stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and DeLaurier wants it to stay on the feet.

Lewis shoots for a double leg takedown but DeLaurier sprawls well. He's pushed Lewis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

DeLaurier tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
DeLaurier has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Lewis's face.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Leon DeLaurier dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



DeLaurier closes the distance and pushes Lewis back into the cage.

DeLaurier tightens his grip and picks Lewis up, before dumping him to the ground. Lewis manages to land in guard.

DeLaurier keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lewis's head.
DeLaurier postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Lewis covers up, he's hurt! DeLaurier keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from DeLaurier and the ref steps in to end the fight! DeLaurier can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dee Nice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Odin Tualasamony (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dee Nice had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!
