Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, PJ Carr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Oliver Ott! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ott punishes Carr's body with a nice straight punch. Carr shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ott sprawls well. Ott wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Carr gets slowly back to his feet. Ott gets caught flat footed, as Carr shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Ott avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Carr trying to control the position from guard on top but Ott is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref stands the fighters back up because PJ Carr just wasn't active enough. Ott comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Nice cross by Ott. Ott cracks Carr with a right hand to the side of the head. Ott swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Carr. Carr takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Carr keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Ott slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Ott fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Carr avoids it really well and circles away. Ott shoots in and drives through. Carr sprawls well. PJ Carr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oliver Ott. The fight moves into the clinch position. Ott manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carr stands and steps away. Ott gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Ott stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ott scores with a three punch combo!
Ott will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Ott goes for a double leg but Carr avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Carr continues to drive forward. Carr fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Ott lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Ott working the ground and pound. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ott swings around for an armbar but Carr sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Ott's guard. Carr wants to control from the top but Ott keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ott uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Carr has time to react. Carr takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Carr is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Ott scores with a jab to the head.

Ott pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Ott is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Carr to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Carr shrugs it off. Carr tries to hold on but Ott pushes him away. Carr is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Ott lands a couple of good shots and Carr has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Ott looking for the choke but no joy. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ott missing with strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ott gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. Carr tries to break free.
Ott is riding his opponent, not letting Carr buck him off. Carr defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Ott's arms. Carr looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ott is looking for a choke. Carr gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Carr manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Carr looking to sit in guard and control but Ott gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Oliver Ott showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Carr defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Ott is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Carr up.

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cub Galloway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Bowlsby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Galloway kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Jump Around by House of Pain. Bowlsby is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Fuck You Im Drunk. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Cub Galloway. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Galloway, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown slips a jab from Sin. Sin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Sin lands with an uppercut that bounces Brown off the cage and back into range.
It looks like Cooter Brown has been cut. Sin connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Nice jab there from Sin. Brown really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Sin misses with a straight left. Brown has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Team Butcher Gym in the buildup to the fight. Sin lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sin connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Sin throws a hook but Brown blocks it. Brown tries a head kick but it misses.
Sususuma Sin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sin throws a jab when Brown was well out of range. Brown tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Sin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sin. Sin might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Brown takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A big right from Sin misses. Sin looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Sin lands a jab to the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sin loads up on a big right hand but Brown slips the punch. Sin listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Brown avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Sin dips to his left and cracks Brown with an uppercut! Sin throws a good cross that connects.
Sin drops Brown with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Brown looks back up at him and smiles so Sin waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Cooter Brown's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Sin throws a shot from downtown. Brown moves away and avoids it. Oh Brown is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Sin scores with a shot to the body.
Sin misses with an uppercut. Brown seems to have got his legs back now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sin connects with a looping right hand.
Sin is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Brown had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. A telegraphed right hand from Sin misses the target. Brown slips under a jab from Sin. Sin drops Brown with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Brown! Sin dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Nakai keeping moving, preventing Shakes from controlling successfully. Nakai is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Shakes is trying to get back to full guard. Nakai is keen to just control but Shakes is a slippery customer. Shakes tries to kick Nakai off but Nakai keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Shakes actively working from the bottom here.

Nakai postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Shakes controls Nakai momentarily but Nakai frees himself. Nakai pushing down on Shakes's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Shakes looks like he's trying to stand up.
Nakai is taking a breather. Shakes says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Nakai tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Shakes. Nakai wants to control but Shakes is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shakes is trying to maintain the position but Nakai is very close to passing his half guard. Shakes avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Nakai. Shakes is trying to control but can't.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Nakai has managed to clinch.

Let's hope that Nakai has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Nakai postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shakes is striking off his back. Nakai thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard. Nakai is just content to waste time from the top position. Shakes takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Nakai stops Shakes from standing up. Shakes is looking for a triangle here but Nakai uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Shakes breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Shakes shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Nakai striking from the bottom. Nakai moves into full guard.
Nakai has control of Shakes's left arm, preventing Shakes from doing any damage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Shakes trying to stand up but can't free himself from Nakai's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nakai is pulling down on Shakes's head. It's preventing any offense from Shakes, at least for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Kenji Nakai will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Nakai drops down looking for an ankle pick but Shakes pulls his leg out and moves away.

Nakai is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Nakai not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Nakai prevents Shakes from getting back to his feet. Nakai slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kenji Nakai. Shakes dives in for a single leg takedown but Nakai sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Nakai is looking to advance position but Shakes has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Nakai tries to get back to half guard but can't. Shakes sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Nakai tries to hold on but Shakes postures up. Nakai is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nakai is squirming around, avoiding Shakes's attempts to control the action. Nakai sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Nakai actively working from the bottom here. Nakai is looking for a sweep. Shakes is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. It looks like Shakes is going to stand back up.
And that's the end of the fight! Kenji Nakai comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Nakai winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bud is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Prower defends it well.

Prower is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Bud has latched onto it... Big trouble! Bud pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Prower is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Bud!

Larry Thorne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vadokowich avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Vadokowich lands a lovely overhand right. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Thorne tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Vadokowich manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Thorne is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Vadokowich throws a looping overhand right but Thorne ducks down to avoid it.

Thorne get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Thorne stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Vadokowich runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
