The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Souza shoots in and gets a takedown into Eshton's guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Souza is working Eshton over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Souza working some strikes from top position. Eshton escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Souza gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Souza works over Eshton with some ground and pound from guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Delon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Some wild striking there from Michaels.
Delon shoots in but no luck this time. The fighters circling - Delon throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Nice takedown defense from Michaels. No joy for Delon on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alen Delon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Delon drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rikidozan follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

We've been informed that Cruz has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Cruz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Amok lands a nice shot that snaps Cruz's head back.

It looks like Boris BigOnes has been cut. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Samani misses the shot to the body.
