The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mozzi misses with a hook. The Executioner dives in and grabs Mozzi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mozzi pushes down on The Executioner's head and hops out. Mozzi bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
It looks like James The Executioner has been cut. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from The Executioner. Mozzi misses with a jab, cross combination.

Mozzi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. The Executioner gets slowly back to his feet. The Executioner is breathing heavily. The Executioner displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mozzi throws out the jab. Mozzi darts in and clinches The Executioner up against the cage. Mozzi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. The Executioner shoots in for a takedown but Mozzi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Mozzi stuffs the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Executioner tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mozzi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten The Executioner somewhat. Mozzi lands a hook that stumbles The Executioner back into the cage. Mozzi follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping The Executioner to the canvas! Mozzi pounces and lands several unanswered shots - The Executioner has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Jones is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Franchesco is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Jones off and has taken his back! Jones is trapped and Franchesco is scoring with shots to the head and body. Franchesco not allowing Jones to control his hands. Franchesco landing with strikes. Jones holding both Franchesco 's hands and preventing any damage. Jones tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Franchesco working for a guillotine from mount but Jones is in no mood to give up. Franchesco looking for a guillotine from mount but Jones is having none of it. Jones tries to lock up and control but Franchesco gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Franchesco lands with some strikes. Franchesco controlling his opponent. Franchesco has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Franchesco lands a heavy elbow. Jones holds on for dear life, controlling Franchesco's posture momentarily. Franchesco controlling the position easily from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Franchesco working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Jones tries to hold on but Franchesco pushes him away. Franchesco controlling the pace for now. Franchesco scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Jones tries to control Franchesco's body but Franchesco pushes him off. Jones squirms to his side and now Franchesco has his back! Jones looks gassed! Franchesco just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Franchesco is persistently looking for the submission but Jones is defending it well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones trying to control the position but Franchesco manages to sink in the hooks. Franchesco wants to control but Jones is keeping busy. Franchesco landing with strikes. I really don't envy Jones right now.
Franchesco has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Jones's body.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. You can see the frustration on Jones's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Franchesco is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Jones is defending well though. Franchesco let's go of the attempt for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Franchesco paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones slips a jab and a cross from Franchesco.

Jones walks into a left hand. Steve Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Franchesco lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jones circles away quickly and effectively. Paolo Franchesco is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A left lands for Franchesco. Jones avoids a punch combination nicely.

Franchesco lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jones circles away quickly and effectively. Franchesco connects with a good right hand that stumbles Jones. Jones circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Franchesco scores with a jab to the body. A punch combination from Franchesco misses. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jones dodges the punch combination from Franchesco.
Franchesco will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Makhdoom's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Makhdoom wants to pass the guard but griffin is keeping the position. Makhdoom throwing strikes from guard but griffin blocks nicely.

Makhdoom wants to control from the top but griffin keeps moving. griffin wants to get back to his feet but Makhdoom is in a dominant position and won't allow it. griffin trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. griffin takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Makhdoom ducks under a wild hook from griffin. A big left from griffin misses. Makhdoom throws a nice outside leg kick. griffin is breathing heavily. griffin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Makhdoom manages to avoid it. Makhdoom lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Roberts swats him away and circles back towards the center. A combination from Roberts does no damage. Jones lands with a nice body punch. Roberts has closed the distance and engaged Jones in a clinch.
Roberts tries to break the clinch but Jones is controlling the position. Jones pulls guard. Jones is looking to stand up but Roberts isn't so interested in that idea. Jones pushes Roberts off and scrambles back to his feet.

Jones ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Jones no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Roberts throws a strike but Jones rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Roberts lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jones! Roberts throws some wild stikes that Jones manages to avoid easily.
Jones is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jones holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Roberts tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Jones seems to have got his legs back now. You get the feeling that Jones really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Jones tries to keep at a distance but Roberts has taken the fight into the clinch. Roberts landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Roberts's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Roberts lands a left and a right that send Jones crashing to the mat, dazed. Roberts thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Roberts drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Jones's head, knocking him out cold! Roberts is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Connelly closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Connelly is looking to advance position but Chan won't allow it. Chan flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Cain wants to pass the guard but Rogers is defending well. Cain is trying to work for a kimura but Rogers is defending well.
Cain is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Cain tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rogers sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cain somewhat. Rogers throws a looping overhand right but Cain ducks down to avoid it. Cain fails with the takedown. Rogers throws a solid leg kick but Cain takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Rogers.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Rogers throws a right and a left that both miss. Rogers gets caught flat footed, as Cain shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Cain avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Cain wants to pass the guard but Rogers is keeping the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rogers manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
And that's the end of the fight! Caidal Cain comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Cain winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
