The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pow tries to clinch up but Ares circles away and keeps his distance. Pow throws out a powerful jab. Ares takes a shot right to the bread basket. Ares fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pow avoids it really well and circles away. Ares looks winded! Pow connects with a body shot. That kick from Pow tenderised Ares's leg. Ares is trying to keep his angry face on. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pow connects with an inside leg kick. A good leg kick by Pow. A cross from Pow lands. Pow connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Ares to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Pow!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Pow Pow! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lovelair throws out a leg kick but Christopher moves out of range and Lovelair only half commits. Christopher looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Christopher misses with a takedown attempt and Lovelair counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Lovelair scoring with punches to the head and body. Lovelair chips away with some ground and pound. Christopher has momentary wrist control but Lovelair slips an elbow through the middle. Christopher really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lovelair. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lovelair working some strikes from top position. Lovelair lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Lovelair scoring with some ground and pound. Lovelair with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Lovelair pushes down on Christopher's leg and manages to get into half guard. Lovelair definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Lovelair is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Lovelair scoring with strikes to the body and head. Lovelair landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Lovelair working the head and body with strikes. Christopher has hold of Lovelair's hands but Lovelair slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Christopher on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Lovelair is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Christopher is rocked! Lovelair lands a big shot there that rocks Christopher but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cruz circles away quickly and effectively. Cruz checks a leg kick nicely. Silva throws a hook to the side of Cruz's head but Cruz sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Some bone on bone action there as Cruz checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Cruz checks a leg kick. Silva throws a low kick but Cruz avoids it. Silva really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Silva fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Cruz. Cruz swings away with a leg kick that misses. Cruz shoots in looking for a takedown but Silva manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cruz's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Silva finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Silva wants to slow Cruz down by chopping away at his legs. Silva tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Cruz is able to avoid easily. Silva feints and then cracks Cruz's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cruz down. Silva defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cruz. Cruz checks a low kick from Silva. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cruz is defended easily by Silva. Cruz tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Silva counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Cruz connects with a single shot there. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dean shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dong's guard. Dean with a flurry of punches that miss. Dean slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. It looks like Dean might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Dong tries to land a sweep but no joy. Dean slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Mike Dean was stalling too much, according to the referee. Dean forces Dong back against the cage and clinches. Dean is working for takedown but Dong is calmly controlling the position for now. Dong can't break the clinch.
Dean drops down looking for an ankle pick but Dong pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's one minute gone in the round. Dong has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dean can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dean lands a couple of elbows. Dean lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Dean stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dong swivels though and keeps the full guard. Dean lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Dean wants to take a breather but Dong is having none of it. Dong is looking to improve his position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Dean in particular looking to stall.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Mike Dean hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Dong misses with an uppercut

Dean is in close to Dong's body, working some short punches and elbows. Dong escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dean gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Dong being controlled here, momentarily. Dong has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Dean is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Dong. Dean wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dong, who protects the arm well. Dean grinds an elbow into Dong's temple. Dong definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dean lands a decent elbow from side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dean is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dong is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Dong is looking for a sweep. The referee asks Dean politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Dean prefers to stall for the moment though. Dean scoring with punches from side control. Dean content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Dean passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Dong! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Dean lands a heavy elbow. Dean controlling from the full mount. Dean fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Dong to the ground. Dean is now in Dong's guard. Dean has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Dong is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dean defends well. Dean distracts Dong with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Dean working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Dong's head. Dean chips away with some ground and pound. Dong looking for subs off his back but Dean has passed one foot through into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dean slips a nice elbow through Dong's hands, connecting with Dong's forehead.
Dong is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dean seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Dean scoring with strikes to the body and head. Oh Dong is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's one minute gone in the round. Dean lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Dong quite badly. Dong pulls Dean in close trying to recover. Dean postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Dong on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Dong doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bruce tries to bum rush Daris with a series of wild strikes but Daris uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Crone Daris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Daris takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Bruce lands with a thumping leg kick.
A punch combination from Daris misses. Daris throws a body punch but Bruce moves out of range. Daris fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bruce uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Daris.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A momentary lapse in concentration from Rodriguez enables Centura to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Rodriguez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Our spies down at at MMA Warrior (1000$ / 15 Elite Coaches) inform us that Rodriguez has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Rodriguez has his foot on Centura's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Centura works his way back into a safe position though. Centura knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rodriguez on the ground. Centura working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Rodriguez's head. Centura chips away with some ground and pound. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Centura is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Centura is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Rodriguez.
