The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leduc fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Helmer manages to avoid it. Helmer gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Leduc counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Helmer looks to land a right hand but Leduc moved out of range. A jab lands there for Leduc. Helmer scores with a punch to the head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Leduc slips under a jab. Helmer gets in close and instigates a clinch. Leduc working aggressively here.

Leduc bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Helmer's head backwards. Horrible takedown attempt by Helmer or perhaps it was just good defense by Leduc, which made it look bad. Leduc tries to clinch up but Helmer circles away and keeps his distance. Helmer darts in looking for a takedown but Leduc gets double underhooks and turns Helmer into the cage. A right hook to the body lands for Leduc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hyypia bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Munchkin checks the leg kick. Munchkin ducks under a wild hook from Hyypia. Hyypia fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Munchkin. Munchkin waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hyypia. Munchkin's corner calls for a 1-2. Munchkin obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Sami Hyypia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Munchkin scores with a jab to the jaw. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hyypia swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Munchkin misses with a looping right. Munchkin bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Hyypia's head backwards. Hyypia cracks Munchkin with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Munchkin looks to throw the jab but Hyypia is out of range. A slow jab from Munchkin misses its intended target. Munchkin misses with an uppercut. Hyypia takes one on the chin but seems OK.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Munchkin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hyypia manages to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Munchkin feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Hyypia sprawling to the canvas! Hyypia rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Munchkin finish him?!
Hyypia is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hyypia bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Munchkin comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Hyypia falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Hyypia was out before he hit the floor!

Player throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Fantastic crumples to the floor and the fight is over!

Gary Player decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
